[Resolved]  Amul Pure Ghee — Suspected adulteration

Address: Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra

I purchased a 1 kg Pure Amul ghee from Apna bazar mulund west about a month back and after using part of it i observed a wax type o[censored]n resolvable material at the bottom in the balance 30% of the pouch.
A complaint no 397 dated 24/09/2012 was registered with the companies Mumbai office. After about three days a sales man named Vikash Mandal visited and wanted to give me a replacement and insisted that i handover the balance pouch to him.I refused to give the pouch and given him and told him that it was not question of getting replacement,my concern was if the product was found adulterated.I gave him a small sample and requested him to share their QC test report with me for my satisfaction.I also reached his superior Mr.Vishal Anand ( contact no. [protected])who heard me and directed Mr.Vikash Mandal to coordinate with their QC department to get the sample checked for any adulteration. Two three days back Mr.Mandal called me to inform that the test did not show any adulteration and the quality of Ghee was perfect.I was not convinced without a copy of report, in fact i want to get a sample test done at my cost either with FDA of a local FDA approved lab and compare the result. The Amul people are silent on this.
I have on my record various e mails written to both the persons from Amul
My only interest is to investigate from a third party if the product has any adultration.
I have still the original pouch with visible waxy material.
Please refer following details of product and contacted persons from Amul

Amul Pure Ghee — Vanaspati ghee +oil mixed in pure ghee

I bought an amul ghee 1 Kg container from a dealer of Amul in Indore, half of the container had liquid ghee, and remainig had solid lumps of dalda(vansapati ghee) mixed in it.
at a particular room temperature how ghee can be in both the forms, liquid as well as solid?
i purchase 1 Ltr. amul shudh ghee but dat is not pure as you mentioned it is tasteless and no smell but its cost is very effective i buy it in 270 Rs. but it is very poor quality
I purchased 1 lt Amul Ghee container from sharjah in feb, 2013 n found wax type material at the bottom.when i rubbed on my palms it was melting properly. So now how we should trust on the branded products, indirectly its affecting our health. Some action should be taken against this.
we bought Amul 1 liter pure ghee tin ( B No: GAT 3441 10/12/2013 )from a store in Chennai, the time when we opened itself it doesn't have the ghee aroma. Any way we started using it. As time pass by we realised the fact that it is partially or completely full of WAX like substance. We felt very bad that we have been cheated only because it is a product of AMUL.
I purchased 500 ml pack of Amul ghee from a trader in Vasai in the 1st week of October 2016 and poured it in a container for use. When we removed it for consumption, we found it smelling like wax ( a very strong smell).I brought it to the notice of the shop owner, who retained the container along with the pouch and called me after a week.Thereafter, he repaid the money back to me and handed over the sample to the Amul's Distributor's representative.he also requested me to give him a written complaint, which I did.The Batch no.of the pouc is GAA 2391 dated 26/08/2016.I urge the Food & drugs administration and the Food Safety & Stndards Authority of India to initiate immediate action to curb such adulteration and take stern action to stop such malpractices before it is too late and result in human tragedy.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am highly amazed, at the Amul Product, I bought Ghee from SRS Bazaar, Sector 62 NOIDAon 14th October 2017. bar code No:[protected]., Price: 1 Kg: 505 Rs

We poured it in our container, after some time We saw Wax type lumps at the bottom, we got to know about it, when We were using it in Pooja, after the complete burn out, lumps remain as it without burning.

Please refer the pics of before and after burning.

I got to know from thread online, that it is pervasive problem across India...

April 2018 We bought Amul ghee 500 g from Lulu hypermarket Wadikabir Muscat Oman... I buy for giving for my 2 yr old baby . I believed in Amul brand hence brought it. I was devastated on seeing undisolved lumps at bottom.. half of it was liquid form.. we are in Muscat where can we complaint this adulteration...batch no. BAE3562 PROD:[protected], EXPIRY:[protected] ... It's very bad we people living abroad believe in Indian products and buy and this is the result..
