[Resolved] Andhra Bank ATM — wrong deduction from account | |||
Dear sir, 1. I have an HDFC bank debit card and i used the same to withdraw money from an Andhra Bank ATM located in Sec-55 NOIDA, UP on 13 Feb 2011 at 2141 hrs. I keyed in an amount of Rs 8000/-. However the machine vended only Rs 1600/- in denominations of sixteen 100 rupee notes. The transaction receipt however reflected Rs 8000/- and the same was debited in my account. Therefore the disputed amount of Rs 6400/- was balance. I immediately called up my bank to lodge a complaint. However the complaint could be lodged only on the next working day i.e 14 Feb2011. My complaint number was 177493. I was later informed that the audit at your ATM did not bring out any discrepancy and hence the amount will not be refunded to me. However the incorrect amount could be attributed to incorrectly filled cassettes as the machine vended sixteen notes of Rs 100 instead of sixteen notes of Rs 500/- which would have made the amount Rs8000/-, as brought out by the email from HDFC to your bank . Despite regular follow up i have not received the disputed amount of Rs 6400/-. 2. I further approached Andhra Bank to resolve the issue.Its now more than 30 days. 3.
