[Resolved] Axis Bank Credit Card — Cancel my Credit Card
It is been a horrifying experience with Axis bank, first of all I was embittered with your despicable marketing stating the if you apply credit card with Axis Bank (UTI Bank) you will receive a flight voucher for travelling anywhere in india for which you have to pay membership charges and to be eligible you have to spend at least 1600 Rs and only after paying you first dues, after going to all of these I finally received the flight voucher but to avail this facility have to shell another 11,000 Rupees from you pocket. If I had to shell 11,000 Rupees for my pocket then why the heck do I have to apply for your card, when I can finance my own trip.
Secondly I have paid all my dues, I have requested the bank to cancel my credit card for which I have called your customer care and first blocked my card and requested the executive to put a request to cancel my card, he raised a request with high priority with a request # 98956 which was in the month of November 2007, I was told you wait for a confirmation call from Axis bank with in next 24-48 hours, I waited all the way for 15 days after which I received a call from Axis bank executive asking as to why i want on cancel the card and trying to pursue me to stay with Axis bank for which she will forgo all the charges to which I rejected and was adamant to cancel the card, she informed me that with-in 10 days I should received a letter stating regarding the cancellation of the card an instruction on how to return the card back to bank, which actually never happened. I waited for another 20 days call the bank to check with the status and was informed that there was not information regarding the cancellation of the card the so called Credit Department, to which I requested the executive to raise another high priority request for which I received a call after 1 week again I explained the same old story to the executive to which I got the same old reply stating the with next 10 days you will receive a letter for cancellation of this card and instruction also alongwith this you will receive another card which is a life time free, to which I told the executive that I am already suffering with this card why do you want to send another card, please cancel all the cards and send me the cancellation letter.
I am still waiting for this letter so that I can return the card back to the bank, please could you take prompt action and send me the letter as soon as possible.
