[Resolved] Axis Bank — credit card replacement | |||
Dear Sir I have taken Visa credit card from Axis Bank against FD of 1.00,000 Rs. I lost the card in November 2010 during my stay in China. I lodged a complaint by email but customer service replied that email was not registered with them. I returned to India in January 2011 and went to Indira Nagar Branch and asked for cancellation of lost card and replacement but branch officials were very unhelpful and gave me toll free number of Customer care. I contacted them 0n 20th February and gave all details. They told me new card will be sent in 10 working days in all circumstances. However I did not receive the card but SMS was sent to me that I should collect my card from branch. When I contacted Customer care they told me that it was wrong SMS and card was not ready due to technical problems. I requested them to send my card to China as I was travelling to China on 12 Maarch but they refused to do so as it was against their policy. Later they emailed me on 18 March that in view of special relationship with bank they can do it if I send my address in China. Since then I have done it many times but card has not reached me. It has caused me financial hardships and humiliation. I have tried to resolve this through Nodal Officer of Axis bank. I have not seen any action as my complaint is redirected to same customer care.
