I received an sms from BA LUCKY on my airtel connection, saying that "Congratulations, you have won Pearl set woth mrp 2500/- absolutely free. For details and redemption, sms lucky to 56263042". I replied and got Rs 3/- deducted from my balance. However nothing happenns except a message "thankyou for sending reply". There is no follow up on details and redemption. I want to draw your attention to such dubious companies who are fooling the customer and earning money. There shall be something done by the authorities... Was this information helpful? | |

Yes i agree with u all just today i received the same message & after replying to it 3Rs were deducted from my balance & received the message Thank You for sending reply. Yes you all are right that an action needs to be taken against such companies.
I have received also message from BA-Lucky on my idea connection And said that you had won pearl set worth 2500 then i replied the message then again said me to send the full name and address and i did send it. i want to draw your attention to such dubious companies who are fooling the customer and earning money. With my full name mentioned in it, I had received the following SMS"You are Lucky Winner who had Won Pearl Set Worth M.R.P. Rs. 2500/. Absolutely Free. For Details & Redemption SMS LUCKY To 56263042"
I felt this is a hoax and didn't wanted to reply to this SMS to loose Rs. 3/- however, when I browsed through Indian Consumer Complaints Forum, there were already many complaints on the same. Thanks to this community, and on my behalf, I am submitting this complaint.

I just received a similar message today on tataindicom. Though I have not replied to the message, I thought of doing s research before replying to the message. The point is not of Rs. 3. It is how indian consumers are being cheated by these Telecom companies, TRAI should take strict action against such SMS sending org.
And I thank all of you for sharing your experience so that others dont get cheated.

I also recd a massage from BA_LUCKY saying "I have won Pearl Set absolutely free". Something has to be done about these peoples. This are one type of fraud that these people are doing with genuine customers and try to rob them.

I also received the same message after sending reply got same msg that you have to pay 525. How can we get the name of the sender of sms. So that we can claim against them. Who is providing our mobile numbers to them. and if they are sending sms to the peoples they should mention their contact number and address.

They are only cashing in on your greed! How on earth any one give any thing FREE! I got this message too, never bothered to reply. Bcoz I dont want anything which is not mine and hard earned. Bcoz, also I dont believe in this commercial world, someone wud anything free without any expected returns! Beware of these rip-offs!
