totally agree i also received an sms from BA LUCKY on my airtel connection, saying that "Congratulations, you have won Pearl set woth mrp 2500/- absolutely free. For details and redemption, sms lucky to 56263042". I replied and got Rs 3/- deducted from my balance. However nothing happenns except a message "thankyou for sending reply". There is no follow up on details and redemption.
I also want to draw your attention to such dubious companies who are fooling the customer and earning money. There shall be something done by the authorities

I just received a similar message today. Though I have not replied to the message, I thought of doing s research before replying to the message. The point is not of Rs. 3. It is how indian consumers are being cheated by these Telecom companies.

And I thank all the of you for sharing your experience so that others dont get cheated.

I completey agree to it. I too have received a similar msg from Airtel. Strict action should be taken against companies that allow such things to happen.

I also received the same message but got response too. In response message they are asking address and pay of Rs 525 on delivery of heyderabadi pearl set. I am confused. What should I do now?

this is a fraud company and they are fooling consumers along with airtel. airtel gets % from these deals. do not reply to such sms. wastage of money!!

I have also received same message today and that too twice.

i totally agree to all of you that these type of messages are only to cheat the consumers.such message deliveries are quite easy ways to to amass illegitimate profits by the telecom companies.these cases should be dealt strictly by the concerning authorities.
i am writing this because i also got the same message as the other fellows from Idea.but yours suggestions prompted me not to reply such dubious messages.

Same is the case with me .. but ihave not replyed for it. Its a fraud and we all should make complaint in consumer court

Well i also received a similar SMS from (BA - Lucky) and when i replied asking for Rs.525 for handling charges and taxes.

Now i received another message asking for cash on delivery but what is the guarantee that it is 100% genuine pearl set which is worth Rs.2500.

If i am assured on that part then i might even consider their offer.

I too received same message from BA-LUCKY on airtel yesterday.first i believed it and sent sms.i got rs.3 cut from balance and in response they sent a thank you message.Then after sometime they sent a msg saying that u have to pay Rs.525/- for postal, insurance &handling charges as the set will be sent through koreor.they r asking 2 send address and name for redemption.they r continuously sending this msg for me.i received it for 3 times from yesterday night.What shall i do now?Is it really a fraud company?or shall i reply 2 it?

i also received the same message and after my reply i again got a message and this time they want me to pay Rs. 525 against courier charges but that will be on COD basis I replied again with my name and postal address but till now nothing has been replied by them..please suggest what should be my next step

ya this complaint is correct. i also get the same message. a strict against AIRTEL should b taken because they are exploiting consumers for their own benefit

Hi, all Yes I also received a similar message and thought of searching the net before replying, because I know we cannot get anything free just like that, but we really feel cheated by these telecom companies, many a times, a strict action should be taken against these.

I Have recived the SMS and i have replied with postal address and also i recvd call from curier company after 2-3 days that your packet has arrived, however i have not recvd that.

Here instead of telecom companies we should tell this SMS Shopping guideline they must provide details of article via picture on some portal from where consumer can verfy the product and then order the same on COD.

I have received also message from BA-Lucky on my airtel connection And said that you had won pearl set worth 2500 then i replied the message then again said me to send the full name and address and i did and today i received the products and pay 525 rs and when i open the packet then i found a ridiculous pearl set which is looking so cheap and now im very angry against AIRTEL and Sender of this gift.

I would like to aware all of you people that Please Dont send the reply these kind of Fraud messages.
