[Resolved]  Bajaj Pulsar 135 Ls — Manufacturing Defect in Engine along with Frequent Breakdown

Address:South 24 Parganas, West Bengal

Subject : Complaint regarding the Pulsar 135 LS bike.
First, of all I would like to give a standing ovation to Bajaj Auto Ltd. for inventing the worst possible bike on earth .Since, I have purchased my Pulsar 135 LS bike ( Vehicle No. : WB 07 D 0570 ; Engine No. : JEGBSK28326 ; Chassis No. MD2JDJDZZSCK28867) ,it has spent more time in Bajaj workshop then being at my disposal .First, after getting my first service done, within 4 months from the date of first service, the engine started to give out a peculiar noise. The bike's mileage also was not upto the mar k(30-35kmpl).I went to the Millat Nagar Workshop of OSL Bajaj Pvt. Ltd regarding my problem. They sited a problem in the bikes engine. The overhead of the engine was changed due to some Manufacturing defect. During this issue, my bike was kept in the Service Center for about a Month. Then after repair they promised that I wouldn't face the same problem again.
Then, last one to one and a half month I observed a noise again coming from the engine and gradually my mileage drooping again. Then on Saturday 18th of September my bike broke down the middle of E.M Bypass way. I walked the bike to the Service Center in Topsia only to find it closed. I kept my Bike in the building opposite to it in charge of a caretaker. Then, on 20th of September I again went to the service center to hand over my bike to them. After, analysing it for 2 days they called me back. This time they said there was a problem again in the engine .Again a Manufacturing Defect was discovered, it was in the Camp-Shaft ,the body of the engine, etc. They asked me to wait for a week so that the engine is repaired again.
The day of deadline finally came, but the bike was not ready. Hence, the workshop Manger installed an engine from a new Pulsar 135LS stock bike to my bike to make up for my inconvenience. Since, my engine is still on repair and the parts are in transit from Pune godown of Bajaj for a long time, they did so. I boarded the bike from the workshop with the newly assembled engine unit after being checked by the Mechanics and the Workshop Manager. Then when I hit the road I found that the third gear of my bike not working.
Next day, I went back to the workshop on 30/09/2010 with the problem. After some analysis by them. I was told to leave the workshop without the bike's error being rectified and I was advised to come on a later. Since, the workshop was closing early due to the Allahabad's Court Ayodhya Verdict. They, told me to manage with the bike without the third gear in it working and ensured me that it wouldn't cause any harm o the engine. So, I left the workshop. Since, I need the bike in every need of the hour I managed to use the bike that way only.
Today on 2nd October 2010 my bike broke down in the middle of the road again in Behala Chowrasta at least 2-3 km's away from my other home at Behala Sarsuna.I had to walk off again with the bike.
So, Bajaj Ltd. have I purchased the bike to bear this inconvenience and hassles or for my comfort and convenience?

i have a brand new pulsar 135cc and at 552KM i refilled the full tank fuel in my bike ;that was just after 1st service and after 760KM again refilled for full tank and required fuel was 7.32 Liters; So mileage is 760-552=208KM and 208/7.32= 28KM per liter ;; is it a normal thing to get such a low mileage for a new engine. also when i fully refilled my tank 1st time, Petrol pump boy filled 8.45 Liters even there was some fuel in reserve and bike was also running properly so there was around one liter in tank that time … is it possible ??????? OR Thats an manufacturer defect.
