[Resolved]  Blackberry z10 — Sound problems on new BB Z10

Hi

My name is Rashmi Sehgal. I have been using a blackberry phone for over 4
years and have been happy with services with no problems. I recently
upgraded my phone to BB Z10 and was pleasantly surprised with the
up-gradations on the phone. I bough the phone from BB Delhi outlet, Start
Mobitel in South Extension in June 2013.

Unfortunately this feeling did not stay for long, as the phone stopped
ringing post 2 weeks of buying it. I could not hear call ringing, no sound
on music/ videos, no speaker phone sound. I was travelling at the time this
happened and when i showed this to a BB Mumbai center, they said they'll
not be able to help me as i need to show it within my city.

I returned to Delhi next week and went to the BB shop i had bought it from
for checkup. The representative there checked & said the speaker of the
phone is not working and will have to be shown at BB Repair center. The
center was closed on Saturday.

The next week when i went to the center, i was shocked to know that
Blackberry had no return policy post 15 days of buying and they do not give
guarantee on phone repair of such nature. I could not understand what to do
with a brand new expensive phone which does not ring.

Imagine watching a brand new 42" LED TV without sound.

I researched on BB forms internationally & saw similar problems being faced
by fellow BBB Z10 users where some of them have got phones exchanged by the
company/ operator.

I'm writing to you in hope that you understand my plight on having a 42,000
phone which does not do the basic functionality of sounds & ringing. I'm a
constant traveler due to nature of work and now i'm really tired of missing
calls & messages due to this faulty device. Thus, i want to apply for
either a new device or refund of my money.

I would hope that Blackberry has a stricter QC policy to ensure this is
rectified for future.
