[Resolved] BMC Mumbai — Street Dog Complaint | |||
My name is Muzzafarali F Contractor. Residing at 301- Sonia Apartment Co-op Housing Society Ltd, Above Sonie Medical, Yari Road, Andheri(W) Mumbai 400 061. I would like to bring your kind attention on the problem being faced by residents of Sonia Apartment and near Madina Masjid as a whole. Sir there are numerous street dogs in this vicinity. They bark even on permanent residents of this area. I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and come closer to bite, several person have faced the same problem especially small children & senior citizens. I personally had succumed to an injury in my leg as I moved a step back when one such such dog was trying to jump on to me. While I moved a step backwards, there was a stone kept there as a result of which I slipped and the ankle of one of my legs twisted. Especially at night these dogs just come running behind you in a group and are almost about to bite. So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send Dog catcher team immediately in this area so that we can get rid of this problem soon. I live in Gokuldham, Goregaon East and many of the residents staying here are facing problems with street dogs in this society. These dogs create nuisance to all street walkers, children playing. Recent incident - one of my family child has been bitten by a street dog 2 days before. These dogs create problem for anybody traveling in vehicle/cycles too. They try chasing the vehicles/cycle drivers.
I request you to send a dog catcher in our area. Request you to please intervene and kindly do the needful at the earliest.

hello sir, my name is rajiv from d3 17 swapnakshay chs neelkanth nagar oldlink road kandiwali west near pooja building sir i m really fed up with some dogs near my area they come from some other area and fight with the street dogs of our area for the whole night because of which we are not able to sleep in night they really bark like any thing the whole night they comes arnd 6-7 dogs and we are really not been able to sleep because of that please help us by taking those dogs away from our area

I am a resident of Y type, Govt. colony, bandra (east) & there are bunches of stray dogs which resides in our colony. Even our watchmens are unable to control them. These dogs bark on us & tries to bite even we are the permanent residents. There are groups of dogs sitting everywhere especially in front of Y - 7 & Y- 4 buildings. We residents are constantly in fear of dog bite whenever we are passing through our colonies, especially at night. There is only 1 main gate open through which we pass where these dogs are sitting, there are times when they have bark on me & also run towards me to bite but I have just been saved.
So Sir/Madam requesting you to please help us by taking these dogs away before there might be any permanent damage to our residents. Its a humble request as there are small children & also senior citizens who are not at all feeling safe only due to these dogs, so please help us at the earliest.

I am live in Bldg no 154, Near Kedarnath Temple, Nehru Nagar, Kurla East, Mumbai - 24.
The entire Nehru Nagar area is surrounded by 15-20 street dogs, they fights each other and makes nuisance noise in the night. The residents are not able to sleep in the night
In morning while going for gym by my bike they comes near barking, tries to bite and runs behind me. Many times I tried to run my bike but I survived falling with my bike.
I also saw them barking & running behind the residents who comes for walking and small children's who are going to school in the morning.
They also put out garbage from the garbage bin of our area & they litter a lot.
From long time I did not seen any dog catcher wan in our area to catch all this dogs.
I request the authority to take immediate measure to eliminate all the dogs from our complex so that I can roam in my area with my family, children's and my old age parents.

Please help us getting rid of the dogs in my locality. They keep on barking the whole night, also bark when people arrive late night and leave early in the morning. Many of the dogs have biten childern. These dogs come from the vicinity of drainages and gutters filled with garbage. Please get a dog van and take away all the dogs. The jain community is a nonsense they feed there dogs making society a nuisence and dirty place. They obstruct the BMC dog van when it comes to take awy these biting, barking desease spreading dogs.
