My name is Muzzafarali F Contractor. Residing at 301- Sonia Apartment Co-op Housing Society Ltd, Above Sonie Medical, Yari Road, Andheri(W) Mumbai 400 061. I would like to bring your kind attention on the problem being faced by residents of Sonia Apartment and near Madina Masjid as a whole. Sir there are numerous street dogs in this vicinity. They bark even on permanent residents of this area. I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and come closer to bite, several person have faced the same problem especially small children & senior citizens. I personally had succumed to an injury in my leg as I moved a step back when one such such dog was trying to jump on to me. While I moved a step backwards, there was a stone kept there as a result of which I slipped and the ankle of one of my legs twisted. Especially at night these dogs just come running behind you in a group and are almost about to bite. So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send Dog catcher team immediately in this area so that we can get rid of this problem soon. This is to bring to your notice that there are innumerable stray dogs at Mary Immaculate School bus stop, Borivli West. They bark all night long. They pounce on people, strangers, permanent residents. They litter garbage from the bins and throw it here and there creating unhygienic environment. Many people have complained but it seems that you people never take any action. Many school children from Mary Immaculate have been hurt. There are many Senior Citizens in this area. The dogs only keep barking all the time and try to bite any time of the day and night. There used to be a dog van which used to come to collect them regularly, the van does'nt come now. Stray dogs are not only a nuisance, but they add to noise pollution and also litter garbage.

One gang of dogs unnecessarily attacked us when we were on our scooter and we met an accident due to that. Today I seen the most horrific incident and I still cant get over it.
We had the municipality Department man tie a stray dog by his neck and drag him across a stoned road to put him in the van in order to sterilize him.
The dog was in immense pain and was howling at the top of his voice.
I even questioned the 2 people from the municipality department ... I was just ignored.
I am writing with a plea to please stop cruelty to animals. You guys are being paid by the government to sterilize the stray dogs NOT TO ABUSE THEM.
However, We have taken a video and will be reporting this to the media.
Get your act together please !

if it is possible for u "sir" please send dog catcher at nallasopara specially east as dogs are having maximum in no. and also unbearable bark at night time. I stay at Sanpada, in Keshav Kunj Co. Op. Hsg. Soc. Near pundhari sanpada station, the entire area from sanpada station to my society is surrouded by 6 stray dogs, who not only bark at day & night time but also at the time of dawn making us unable to sleep, they bark at the people passing by that road and run behind each car that passes the road from my society till station. The BMC van came once but did not catch a single dog in the complex.
I request the authority to please take the immediate measure to eliminate them from our area.

My friend is a local resident of Madh Island, Malad west..There was one Mad(crazyDog) was roaming here n there at the streets and bitten and victimer by many small kids and old people ..so he decided to call Bmc control and stated the problem..so the person gave the number of a trust([protected]-Marya(Asha Trust), Marya gave another number she said it's a Board helpline number ([protected])
One lady picked up the call and now she gave an another Contact ..says it's a Bmc helpline (1916)
Now a guy picked up he said take another number 28808206.
Now guys it's so foolish to see now ..that this number is the same first number my friend tried to reach.
Finally we see that we came to the same number from where se started..
So bad and so shame of Bmc..
