[Resolved]  BSNL (Evdo USB Data Card) — The worst customer service!! The reason why Japan built itself so hi-tech in 50+ years from scratch and India did not!!

I'm an IT trainer and fortunately or unfortunately I teach customer service to people and I experienced the most terrible customer service ever. I walked into the Koramangala, Bangalore BSNL Customer service office to apply and collect a USB Data Card for my laptop. I had to visit the office 7 times and every time I went there they would tell me they have no stocks or they'd tell me that there computers are not functioning so they can’t communicate to the concerned dept. The old lady there even shouted at me for being persistent and showing up so many times, although later she tells me that it happens because she has too much work(Not what I saw when I was there for hours unless you call talking over the phone a lot of work). I eventually got the USB Data Card and now came the issue of activating it. It's been two weeks now and calling customer care number and getting a hold of one person (and that was the only time I got to speak to someone) revealed that the work order was not sent from the customer care office in two weeks. There phones are never reachable and I don’t like to meet them just to get yelled by them.

My opinion as a customer service trainer:
1. Customer Service is an attitude and not something that can be enforced on one
2. Please get rid of people who cannot and I mean literally cannot multi-task certainly for the fact that they are old. I don’t mean offense against elderly folks and I certainly respect them but there's a limit to what we can expect from them
3. Someone has to make a conscious effort to improve the system. It doesn’t happen on its own, It’s not evolution its revolution that this country needs
4. I see a lot of complaints against different departments in BSNL and a Google search will reveal hundreds of blogs that has everything negative to say about BSNL. My question is, what has any of it achieved? Here I am putting down a complaint and I wonder what it's going to fetch me. I sure hope this write up makes a difference somewhere, somehow.

i am purchase evdo data card.. there have 5 days it is not activate plz tell me about you have activate my evdo data card how many days

I have been using the EVDO since almost two months.I am really frustrated using this EVDO service. it give only approximately 250kps very rare 400kps never make speed also never made me satisfied as I am in bangalore area. I thought it seem very good for 2 mbps but not working to reach this mbps. I feel it may be give up.
My EV-DO USB card works faster at night from 2am to 4am at 250 to 350 kbps but during day time it gets so slower as dial up connection.So please give nice Xcuses.otherwise i will surrender.
I am a doctor doing post-graduate studies at Imphal, Manipur. The EVDO internet speed is very slow from 7 am to 12 pm(10-40 kbps). Is the BSNL authority aware of it or do anything for it.
BSNL EV-DO service at Ramban is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy poooooooooooooooor.
It is worst than other internet services provided by different ISPS.
The basic problem is its pooooooooooooor speed.
Can any one help on this core issue.

i bring it but i could not able to connect to service provider about 5 days it always shows that the remote computer could not reponse whats the problem i dont know, i cant imagine that if the service provider could not able to give any service properly then why they sale this type of thing pls reply me

BSNL didnot Care any complaints of Customer Because it is Govt Sector. All top level officers did not bother about. Then why clerical level staffs are getting pain.

ITS CORRECT . BSNL CUSTOMER CARE DID NOT RESPONDING . I HOPE THIS ATTITUTE IN TOP LEVEL ALSO. FOR BETTER GROTH IN BSNL THEY HAVE CHANGE THEIR MORAL FOR GROTH OF BSNL. I HOPE SO FOR BETTER IMPROVEMENT IN BSNL SERVICE IN FUTURE.
I am useing EVDO card of bsnl i am reallu frusted this evdo service .Its gives up rate 0 kbps and down rate 0 kbps speed in every time.It is taking lots of time to render webpage. I have complained about it but always get answer we have problem in server.

Dont just keep on sulking and getting looted by BSNL.
you can do more...
1. File complaint in Consumer Forum
2. Write to TRAI
3. Complain to MRTPC
4. Voice your grievance at every level & in every medium like TV & print media
5. Get organised from city to national level, connect with some consumer welfare NGO & root these parasites of public exchequer out.

BSNL -broad band service — no after sales service-product not working properly

my name is vineet kumar sharma. I am staying at 101 shree arvinda road, neel kantha apartments, 4th floor, flat no 401, salkia, Howrah-711106, west bengal, India.

i hold a bsnl connection for more than 2-3 years number being [protected]. For past 3-4 months my phone is dead. however my broad band, which is linked with this phone number is working but in a wierd way.

but there is a problem which is there, after every 15-20 mins the link gets disconnected. For this i have sent end number of emails and i have personally visited the local office number of times.

these people are of no help. they don't pick up the phone, they dont reply to teh email complaints, their numbers are provided on the website but no body responds. and in case by mistake if somebody picks up the phone, he or she says "it is not my department i cant help". and the line is disconnected.

i mean i am paying them total monthly charge through my bank month on month without delay, then why will i not get a proper service, for which i am paying them.

i[censored] delay the payments they disconnect the line immediately, which they have done in past. but what kind of service is this. if i am on internet most of the time i can't connect through my land line i have to connect through my broad band service. at times it works perfectly but at times it wil make you cry.

please help me as in how can i get somebody repair my modem and my line to get a un interrupted service from BSNL.

Even I am thinking about getting myself a BSNL EV DO USB Data Card but much confused like you all and haven't make my mind yet.

If you all check their official site: http://www.bsnldatacard.com/, you can even rent a card from their site. I don't know the procedure, may be you can find a way somewhere that I have't discovered yet.

Take on Rent, evaluate and if find fine, may purchase. However, I think, I'll be taking on rent only instead of purchase. I'll have flexibility to change it anytime.
i am near madurai east masi st, exchange and i get very feable coverage in my office, i have to be near my off gate and i get one bar. on informing the exchange they say what can we do, its faith . be careful while selecting bsnl. i am in madurai, tamilnadu. no proper coverage in madurai.
what the pric for unlimited & what speed of downloading
I am in Kudramukh Colony, Koramangala, bangalore and I got this evdo card 15-20 days back but its speed is very slow og around 20-40 Kbps. Someone in this blogs wrtes that if orange light blinks it wil give a speed of 1-140 Kbps and if it is green it will give good speed. I am getting Orange ight only, not a single time green...is it some technical problem, if someone knows it pls let me know.

Otherwise Peoples pls don't buy this this from BSNL...
