Dear sir, I am a NRI customer and I have opened a NRI SB a/c with your Overseas Branch, Delhi Road, Moradabad-244001 on 5th April, 2015. I had applied for a name printed cheque book but yet not received after passing one and half month.You are requested to please look into the matter and provide me the same as earliest on my local address. My father a veteran and senior citizen went to the Canara bank, SP road, Secunderabad, Telangana for an update of his pension account. He has had an account at this branch for the last 30 years. He was shocked when he was told that he would not be given an update over the counter though he had all the required proof of ID. He was asked to send an email if he wanted an update. The chief manager was as inflexible and unhelpful as the rest of the staff. Is this another example of bureaucratic apathy and disregard for customer service? When will we as a country hold these people accountable for their disservice to the public?
What I would like to ask the bank is how many Sr. Citizens have an email account and are technologically savvy? Also 90% of India has internet in the first place? This is more like the officers do not want to take the trouble of helping their customers and especially their Sr. Citizen clients.
I would also like to know when was this rule passed and when was this communicated to the customers? This looks like at arbitrary decision taken by this branch and its management.
No other bank is creating problems for its clients. Is it time we moved to more customer friendly banks?

Currently, I am settled in Chennai. I submitted a letter for the address change on 12th-May, they have taken nine days that too after repeated requests. But they entered pin code wrong. The mobile no was not updated. We have gone to the branch five times requesting the changes to be made. The Branch manager was adamant in her response. When contacted over the phone, she told she was not aware of this and the updates will be made after 3 pm.
Are the staff in the branch not responsible? Are they don't know what's the customer service is?
Why can't Canara Bank give option to update our mobile numbers at least? Why we have to run to the branch for every service?

There fore you are requested to get the solution of your inability,
Among of this two weeks several mail I sent to the home branch, and the concern authorities have not taken the issue seriously, So do you please kind action against of their inability to provide the solution that the concern authorities will take the matter seriously and solve it high priority.

Now i am ready to pay the interest, but the manager refuse to accept interest and threaten me to shame me through advertisement in paper and sell jewel through auction.
I request you to inform the exact amount to pay, i am ready to pay through online, Kindly accept my 1 year interest for my jewel.
I cannot accept or pay any other extra charges levied by bank, if my request is rejected.
Please take necessary steps to solve this matter. I have given all bank related details.
