I am one of the regular passenger for velachery to beach MRTS SERVICE. There are lot of inconveniences meet by the public.The surrounding area of the velachery Railway station is covered by mud and clay.The entering to the main roads are very tough.During the rainy season we would meet lot of problems.
Please provide return tickets in Velachery Station.
Kindly Arrenge a notice board in Beach Railway Station for Velechery ticket Counter.
Kindly Make printed ticket for velechery Passengers.due to the using of the printing machine every ticket takes atleast 3-4 minits.
Make best as soon as possible

Sir,
This is regarding delay in arrival of MRTS trains and also the number of trains reduced during weekends ie on SUNDAY.
Who gave suggestion to reduce the number of trains on SUNDAYS?. Please Ask that PERSON to travel on SUNDAYS so that the person who gave suggestion to the management can understand the inconvenience of passengers.

On Thursday(15/4/2009), there was no train between 9.45pm to 10.15pm(approximately).
I think no one in the southern railway notice these delays.

Please take necessary action on concern person.

Most of the passengers put their legs on seats with chappels and shoes. Railway management can put fine for those persons because nowadays most of the passengers doing like this and make other passengers inconvenient.

I expect necessary action will be taken by the management

Southern Railway — Putting unnecessary penalty on public

Hi

I am very new to chennai local trains. I got the ticket from Pallavaram to Tambaram and got into a compartment. Once I reached the destination, a ticket inspector came to me and asked for the ticket. I have shown my ticket and the he asked me "Do you know at what type of compartment you have boarded in". I replied "I don't think it is a ladies compartment as I could see gents in that compartment" then he said " it is not ladies compartment, but it is a first class compartment. Do you know this". I said "oh! I don't know that there are First class and Second class compartments in the local train also". then he took me near to that compartment and shown a number on that compartment which is printed as 'I" which is a roman figure one. And he asked me to pay penality of Rs.280/-. I got shocked and I requested him that I was not aware of this, but still I had to pay the amount.

If they simply put a roman figure 'I" on the compartment, how the people will know that this is a first class compartment?

the first class compartment is not properly distinguished from the rest and most of the people mistakenly board this compartment and end up paying penalty.

I belong to Kasthuriba Nagar. The MRTS station in our area looks pathetic as it is covered with garbages and making foul smell causing an inconvenience for the public.It also leads to diseases.For the past two months, the situation has gone worse due to negligence of cleaning the station premises.The toiletries and drinking water are also not working making the public to suffer.

I kindly request the higher authorities to look into the matter and kindly do the needful.
The Thiruvanmiyur station is looks like Garbauge collection. Please take action to clean up th station premisus.

To Whom Soever It May Concern

This is regarding LADIES SPECIAL service from TAMBARAM-BEACH during peak hours lead to OVER CROWD of GENERAL passengers.

All compartments in LADIES SPECIAL service in peak hours are very free and ladies are not using it effectively.

Either make ladies special service to ply in FAST EXPRESS lane(TRACK) without affecting regular services or DONT ADD LADIES COACHES and FIRST CLASSES to CONSECUTIVE train operating after ladies special service particularly in peak hour.

ONE LADIES SPECIAL service makes general passengers to SKIP 1 REGULAR SERVICE it makes them time delay of 10 minutes as well as constraint of having ladies coaches on consecutive coaches lead to DAMN CROWD in PEAK HOURS due to consumption of two train passengers in a single train.

I wonder how railway has taken such stupid decision of operating such services for a over crowded metropolitan city like chennai.

I request higher authorities to think of positive as well as negative aspects before implementing new services, so as to ensure that it wont affect commuters in any way.

Seggragation of a portion of every compartment to Ladies during peak-hours will serve the purpose.

I travel from Chindadripet to Thiruvanmiyur ever day using the MRTS service . The train timings from velachery to beach station is really pathetic during the evening timings . The services are really poor espacially from eveing 7 P.M to 8 P.M . The frequency between trains are more than 20 mins . But in the opposite side we see trains every 5 mins .

For e.g on Tue 17th Nov 2009, there was train at 6.45 P.M . after that there was no train for 1 hour . We got the next train at 7.45 P.M only. Even that train was fully crowded . Meanwhile in the other side there were 7 trains during that 1 hour gap.

The delay in train's towards beach side has been like this for quite some time.
We are not sure why is this happening frequently.
Can some one really take a look at this matter seriously ?
It will be really great if this problem gets solved .
in local train, they are clearly indicated first class coaches in ENGLISH, HINDI and TAMIL so i disagree this

MRTS — Delay in Train Timings

Hi,

I am a regular passenger in MRTS.

I find that the trains are not arriving in the respective station at correct time. This is happening frequently these days. Trains which should arrive in 10 minutes interval is now coming after 20 or 25 minutes.

This really makes the situation worse as people get crowded over when the train arrival is delayed and later they just hang on the footboard which may lead to injuries or loss of lives.

You can blame the public saying they should not step into a crowded train. I do agree with this. But when it is getting late for their work, they will obviously try entering even when it is overcrowded. It is their mentality. I am also one among them.

Also when it is overcrowded, people really stamp out or push one another or fight with each other or pull others leg or hand while getting down at Chepauk.I request you to give some time for people to get down at this station. I saw some representatives holding green light to check if people has stepped out of the train and entered the train. I would recommend this to happen regularly and bring into the notice of the people that they need not rush out.

When the trains that run from velachery to beach is coming in 7 to 8 minutes interval, no trains can be seen from beach to velachery.

You can help us ie) public by strictly following the train timings.
Once the train timings are strictly followed, you are doing such a great thing that makes people
* Relaxed
* Tensionless
* Fight free

Im mr.Prem kumar living in chrompet (umayalpuram).road facility near lakshmi ammal matriculation school is worst..its full of stones.this road has been used by many persons like senior citizens, school chidrens, office going persons, every vehicles...for eg. if there is a rain over here, the road gots mixed with mud and becomes very wet.Adult persons can adjust with this.bt school kids cant..they r felling down in roads coz of stones, pls take appropriate action towards this complaint.v r expecting a quick remedy from u.

near close to lakshmi ammal school, polytechnic, ganesh temple...girls govt school chidrens use this road.
Dear Sir,

There is delay in train schedule due to Ladies Special at 9.15 AM, which is almost empty.. It travels from Beach to Velacherry, there is no point in having Ladies special train which is always empty on all working days.

Request you to change the ladies special train to Normal or atleast make separate boggie for Ladies, so that we can travel peacelly and on time..

Please consider my request.

TRAINS TIMINGS ARE NOT CORRECT IN THE BOARD FROM CHENGALPATTU TO
TAMBARAM-BEACH AFTER 11 AM ALWAYS . PEOPLE ARE WAITING IN THE PLATFORM
FOR ALMOST 25 MINUTES THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION FROM RAILWAY STATION.

IF A TRAIN STANDS AT 1 STATION BEFORE ., THERE SHOULD BE INDICATION IN THE PLATFORM.
IT HAS IMPROVED BUT RAILWAYS NOT IMPROVED ON THE BASIC THINGS.

INDICATORS ALWAYS SHOWING FALSE.

I am a regular traveller in MRTS from Beach to Thiruvanmiyur, this is to being to your notice that there is a signal problem every week from Indiranagr to Mylapore/Chepauk, since many passengers are coming to work here in Perungudi and surrounding areas from Arakkonam, they need to catch the AJJ Train from Central Station @ 10.50 pm which is the last train for the passengers(Not only upro Arakkonam-on the way to Arakkonam), unfortunately we have met this issue this week for 2 times(ie on November 27th and 02nd December)Please kindly check this issue on travelling time of 1 hr 20 mins approx from Thiruvanmiyur to Park Station.

Please consider this as all the Arakkonam(EMU) Travelling passengers request.

railway train — putting fine

DEAR SIR,
WE HAVE PROBLEM ABOUT RAILWAY TRAIN IN THAT T.T HAS PUT FINE ABOUT RS.2808 AND THE TRAIN TICKET AMOUNT IS 1808 AND FINE RS.1000. THE TRAIN NUMBER IS 12863 DATED[protected] AND TH FINE SLIP NUMBER IS 277597 AND THE BOX NUMBER S1 AND THE SEAT NUMBER ARE 1,2,3,4. THIS PROBLEM IS TO DUE TO WHEN I WAS COMING TO BANGALORE FROM HOWRHAH THAT I LOST MY PAN CARD AND T.T. CAME AND ASK THE CARD I TOLD ITS LOST HE PUT THE FINEOF 2808 .
SO I KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

The Chennai MRTS is getting crowded everyday. The number of people using this service is ever increasing. Requesting to make all 6-car trains to 9-car trains. This will ease the crowd before someone dies.
Also, the MRTS stations are very dirty and stinks all the time. There are stray dogs which may get violent sometimes. In the issue of public safety and hygiene the officials must take the responsibility to have the stations cleaned regularly and make it safer.
Hello, I am a daily commuter in the mrts system. On this day, 08.12.2013, I am shocked to find so many gents travelling in the ladies compartment. To the extent that the ladies were almost finding it difficult to identify if its a ladies compartment! Maybe the paucity of policing on Sundays is the reason for this. Nobody in any station raised a concern and we had but to bear the discomfort! Kindly see to this please!!!
