[Resolved]  Choudhary — Sending emails have been blocked by Tata VSNL in name of Spam

Dear Sir,

Please find below the details required by you to solve our problem.

1) Complete error message: Task 'VSNL Mail - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F): 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).'

2)This problem is being faced in Microsoft Outlook express configured with Tata Communications id [protected]@vsnl.net. I dont think there is any problem with sending mails through webmail.

3) POP3 and SMTP server being used is VSNL Mail.

4) I have both the internet accounts of Tata, one is Tata Indicom /Tata VSNL and other is Tata Photon+. Our email id is Tata VSNL id [protected]@vsnl.net and i am using Tata photon to get connected to internet and sending mails since last 2-3 years. Since Tata dial up connection is very slow thus there is a problem. Tata VSNL /Tata Indicom is now not present in Udaipur (Rajasthan).

5) Account type: POP3; Incoming mail server: mail.vsnl.net; outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.vsnl.net



Please check the above and solve our problem immediately.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your mail. I request you to please continue my vsnl smtp sever to send emails through Tata Photon+ connection as i am facing difficulties in our routine business.



If this kind of blockage was being conducted why there was no communication from Tata Indicom, we would have searched alternatives.



When we bought Tata Photon+ connection first thing we wanted was that mails could be sent and received as my internet connection is also from TATA VSNL and braodband connection is also from TATA PHOTON+.



In case this is not possible i will have to switch over to other internet service providers and will have to leave all my TATA accounts.



This kind of one sided stoppage to small customers who have all services from Tata cannot be done without prior notice. Please activate my email sending immediately else we will have to take tough action.

With reference to your email, we would like to inform you that you will be able to receive the emails but not able to send the emails using the Tata Indicom SMTP address when connected to the Internet using another ISP. Also, you will not be able to send the emails from an account other than VSNL email account using the Outgoing server of VSNL Tata Indicom. This is implemented as a measure to avoid the Spam emails going through the VSNL Outgoing servers. However, this policy is implemented by all major ISPs today to avoid Spam.

As all the major ISPs start to take action against SPAM messages. SPAM is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message in an attempt to send the message to people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most SPAM messages use an automated system to send commercial advertising, or mass marketing messages. SPAM costs the sender very little to send; most of the costs are paid for by the recipient or the e-mail providers.

Internet Service Providers are fighting SPAM by requiring each user to be dialed directly into their system to send messages through their SMTP gateway. This is an easy way to control SPAM, but may affect some users who tunnel into their e-mail account from another ISP.

Hence, you need to get connected to the Internet using your Tata Indicom account only to be able to send the emails using the Tata Indicom SMTP address. You cannot send emails from another account using VSNL Tata Indicom Outgoing SMTP server.

Alternatively, you can always logon to www.webmail.vsnl.com to send or receive your mails while being connected to another Internet Connection.

However, kindly revert with an error message, so that we can do the needful at the earliest.

Dear Sir,

I am using Tata Indicom / Tata VSNL account for my internet and data transfer. My email id is [protected]@vsnl.net, a service provided by Tata VSNL.



I have internet broadband of Tata Photon+ through which I am sending and receiving mails via outlook express.



Since last few days I am facing a unique problem that my emails are not being sent throughout the whole day but the same can be sent in late evenings i.e. after 7 PM. The whole day I receive mails on same account and I can open websites and other internet data transfer work. I contacted Tata Photon+ service centre and they confirmed that my photon account is running perfect with data transfer rate of around 881 kbps.



I fail to understand why emails cannot be sent throughout the day and only in evenings after 7 PM till 5 or 6 in morning. My work is suffering due to this problem as I cannot transmit urgent messages to my customers in day time. Please inform me the cause of problem and solution to this immediately.



This mail is being sent to you 16:17 hrs but will be transmitted to you in evening and not immediately.

Vsnl outlook — Missing emails

I find that on my input mail on outlook misses a number of mail. For example if I receive 50 email shown in Outlook but actual mail loaded is 30. This has been going on for a long time. When I go back to webmail in web then all have been all are 0.

My number .[protected]

I was recharged ₹ 49 which neither was confirmed nor refunded back to the original. Traction date 3/6/18.Recharge number: jio phone number of Reliance jio.Therefore, the problems mentioned above will be provided promptly and redressed.
Customer service is requested to get it resolved as soon as possible or get refund recharged
