[Resolved]  CIBIL — WRONG REPORT

When I approached for a loan, the banker told that my name is appearing in the CIBIL report and an amount of Rs.4628/- has been written off.In fact I do not owe any amount to any bank. When I sent an email to CIBIL.quoting the control no.there has been no response, inspite of repeated phone calls and reminders, asking for the details of the bank.It is already over one month since my first mail.
My son's educational loan application is pending with the bank, for want of this CIBIL clearance.

To whom I should complain and what should I do now?

THIS CIBIL IS NOTHING BUT JUST ANOTHER WAY OF HARASSING THE PEOPLE. IT IS TYPICALLY AN INDIAN GOVERNMENT COMPANY BECAUSE WHEN YOU TALK TO ANYBODY ABOUT YOUR REPORT THEY SAY IT IS INTERNALLY MADE, WHAT INTERNAL DECISION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. I TOOK A LOAN FOR MY BIKE 2 YEARS BACK AND I PAID IT WITHOUT ANY SINGLE BOUNCE OR DEFAULT. NOW WHEN I APPLIED FOR A PERSONAL LOAN AFTER THE COMPLETION OF MY EXISTING LOAN. CITI PEOPLE SAYS THAT YOU HAVE A CHEQUE BOUNCE AND CIBIL SCORES ARE NOT UPTO THE MARK, HENCE WE CAN NOT APPROVE YOUR LOAN. WHICH CHEQUE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. I PAID MY LOAD VIA ELECTRONIC TRANSFER AND NOT VIA CHEQUE. CIBIL BEING AN INDIAN CITIZEN I AM AUTHORIZE TO KNOW WHETHER YOU CHECK THESE COMPLAINTS OR NOT OR IT DOES NOT MATTER TO YOU. DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND THE AMOUNT OF FRUSTRATION I AM GOING THROUGH. PROBABLY THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WE ARE LOOSING FAITH FROM OUR OWN GOVERNMENT. I TRIED TO CALL YOU AND DO YOU KNOW I WAS ON HOLD FOR 2 HOURS AND AFTER THAT SOME ONE HUNG UP ON ME. FOR GOD'S SAKE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS.
My friend Dr. Gopalakrishna is taken credit card please sent[protected] send to status witten off send full details
I agree Deepak. I used 4 credit cards . i had maintained correctly.no outstandings are there. When applying personal loan CIBIL score cheat me. I mailed to all my credit card holding banks. All banks says 'this was not from my side'.
What ------- was happened.
CIBIL is very very worst.
I could understand your situation.

First of all, CIBIL is not owned by the Indian Government. It is just a separate entity formed by several banks such as ICICI, SBI, Andhra Bank etc.

All these banks add, delete and modify information about their customers at the CIBIL database. This database i used by other banks to verify your financial status and your credit history.

The problem you are saying is about the so called "bounced cheque". Now, what you can do is, contact your lender who lent you the bike loan. Provide him the necessary details about the loan and some how try to prove that you used ECS and did not use a cheque (you can do this by showing your bank statement).

You shall also visit www.cibil.com and order your credit report.
Sub: Rectifying Inaccurate Information In my Credit Report
Ref: Credit card No [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]

Dear Sir,

I was possessing credit card of Standard Chartered bank . I had entered into a settlement with Standard Chartetred Bank on[protected], vide letter No BPL10909 -Customer no [protected]. for Rs 8247/-I had paid the cash instalment [Rs 1375]on[protected], followed by PDC[S] [Cheque nos. 250681, 250682, 250683, 250684, 250685]ending on 18thJune 2010. The last cheque was credited on[protected].
Following this I had approached the Standard Chartered bank who told me that mthat there were no dues pending after that. A No-dues Certificate was issued on 23/08/2010 after repeated reminders. Since they have not sent a communication to CIBIL that there are no dues outstanding against me, my records still show a balance with CIBIL which has not been updated in your records.Standard Chartered bank is not prepared to send you a communication in this regard though I requested them. Because of this an additional home loan which has been sanctioned, based on the "No-dues certificate" from Standard Chartered Bank is not yet disbursed causing me a lot of harrassment.

Q.23 How do I rectify information in a credit report drawn on me?
Please contact the credit grantor from whom you have availed the loan and request the necessary changes. The credit grantor will then report the change to CIBIL and we will subsequently make the necessary updates in our records.

When I approached the Standard Chartered bank, they are not ready to send you a communication. Please clarify
Thanks .
Dr Barat
