[Resolved]  CMDA — Illegal construction in chennai

Respected Sir,
I would like to compliant on the Irregular construction in guindy. Am a resident of SP Kailash apartment, Race view colony extn. Next to my apartment on 16/B, Vallauvar Street, Race colony extn guindy a Irregular construction is coming up. As per CMDA rule Section 25 planning parameters Table 1 ( ordinary residential building and other small buildings ) they should construct at least abutting 1 m from all the sides including front side .But on the above address they not even a left 1 feet in all the sides and including front road side . In fact on the front side from the Corporation lamp post only half a feet has been left and the major part of the building coming up on the very close to road.
On the above I have already given a complaint to Mr.Murali AE Of Chennai Corporation on the irregularities. Due irregular construction there is No Room for proper ventilation and lighting in our apartment. Due to structure entire Light and ventilation blocked to our apartment and as well as to Next apartments in the area.
My sincere request to enforcement cell to visit the location and restrict the construction and insist them to follow up the rules laid by the CMDA .

Dear Sirs,
I am not sure whether all these complaints are been acknowledged by CMDA and necessary actions are taken or NOT.However i want to raise up my voice in this regards.#3, 21st Street, palavanathangal, Chennai-600114 is the site of complaint i want to raise.It is said to have a Church in this premises where we do not see any pillars in between the church for strengthening the church.However, there is a first floor constructed on top of it, which is a threat to the public.Now, acting very smartly a second floor is raised with Chennai roofing materials fully covered in order to hold public meetings and gatherings, again inorder to avoid one more incident that happened in Kumbakonam, i am raising this issue.I hope necessary actions will be taken against this to save Life's.And i am not sure where exactly a public gathering place has been constructed without following any norms of the government.
Due to havy trapic in the street for illegal construction of the new resident appartment in Arunachala Achari street, Chepauk, Chennai - 5. (opp. the Perfet Lodge). It's look 5 feet in the corporation road and public suffer every day, So please take the acction immediately,
keep our cuntry and Chennai city with alive...
The residential house getting constructed in 12 Thiruvengadam Street is in complete violation of the established rules. It is becoming the tallest building in our street and even an independent house facing the new construction with twice the width is shorter than the one coming 'up'. There are protrusions on Eastern and Western walls of this house that is aligned with the neighboring houses' compound walls. Kindly refer to the attached photo and we request you to apply the necessary corrective measures on this construction.

Herewith I am Reporting two illegal construction and public nuisance in Dr. Subburayan Nagar, II Street, Kodambakkam, Chennai - 24.

Flat # 15

Here, a godown for rice mill is being maintained in residential building. Everyday, a load of rice bags are brought in at late nights and the godown is maintained. You could see a lot of rats in this street just because of this business. During the mornings there is frequently a minivan is parked that delivers loads of packed rice. In this residential area, such a business is causing disease and transport inconvenience to everyone, please attend to this. And also unsafe environment for women in the street.

Here the owner is owning the house. He has recently constructed unauthorized 2nd floor and has rented out two families. 5 houses are rented in I and II floor in total without enough parking area. An auto driver who resides in their second floor leaves their auto in the load everyday night. Please address this and ask them to close down the II floor.

I hope responsible officers attend this query and do justice to the common people.

I am in near loyods colony Elephant tank 6th street, royapettha, chennai.Here no.11, Elephant tank 6th street construction is going on.what's the problem is the street is only 3 feet.One floor itself is O.K. They are constructing the 4th floor.I do not know how is it possible.Oppostie line also houses.some of them 3 or 4 floors. Is it correct?

Frequent Loud prayers and celebrations
the boundary with a small temple. The temple is surrounded by many
Residential houses. At least once a month there are loud prayers and celebrations that
are hosted in the temple which sometimes continue till midnight. During
Festivals and even everyday morning the prayers on loudspeakers begin at midnight.
On other occasions it starts at 4Am and continues till 10PM in the night.

All Children could not Study.
Could not Sleep nicely
Occupying and blocking the Road for whenever they need worshipping in Middle of the Street.

Please take step to remove immediately.

This is to your kind attention of a house (of Miss.Kumari subramani residing in No:26/61, Bajanai koil street, puzhuthivakkam, chennai-600091) is building a house at the backside of her house. i.e in"Subramani Avenue " which is on construction did not have a (CMDA) approved plan, not having separate EB line.The officer who comes for taking reading for E.B did not take any action. The house which is on construction is totally unauthorized and illegal one.The house was not constructed according to the THE ACT OF CMDA.Chennai corporation had not taken any action against this house.Because of this house, the sorrounded house are much affected with lack of ventilation and light.The bricks are kept on both sides of the road. It becomes very difficult for the Chennai metro water; lorry to go inside "Subramani Avenue".Now the building is half way in construction. So, I kindly request you to take strict action against the house.

Dear sir,

I am shanmugam. Illegal construction is going in ranga garden street kondithope chennai- 79.

History: nearly two years before the building was constructed with 3 floors and is done by contract and is already completed. But now the owner is increased further more 3 floors.

Point: 1: front side road size is small.
Point 2: the building is not much strong and I have doubt that life is May be 3 years more.
Point 3: is a illegal construction not approve by government.


So, I request e government to take necessary steps instead of facing major accident afterwards.

I would like to complaint about an illegal construction in Mugappair, Chennai. They built the house for four floors without any CMDA approval and it is known fact that we can build up to 2 or max 3 floors in residential areas. They also giving lot of issues to the neighbours and they are so adamant on others. They have placed the sand till half of the road for the past four months and they are not ready to take it even though it is advised by so many. Also children in this street are so much affected and getting many diseases because of it. Please look into this issue asap as it might cause a major impact on the other buildings. Please take stringent action on them immediately.

We bought a new flat in Pammal, Chennai – 75, as per my apartment plan is 11 Flats but the builders build 12 Flats, and they build on commercial shop in car parking area @ ground floor. The builder not builds as per blueprint approval. Kindly verify the apartment and remove the unauthorized construction and do the needful.
