RE: Air Waybill[protected]from Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman





The above courier sent from Sultanate of Oman was stated to have been delivered by you to my above address on the 20th of July 2009. I was out of Chennai on that date until 23rd of July. You have not taken care to ascertain if I was available or not after the 23rd nor have you taken the necessary care to contact me on my mobile phone between the 20th and the 23rd of July and there after! On account of this carelessness and sheer negligence on your part, I have been put to a great loss as under:

1. I have lost one month’s salary amounting to about Rs. 2.5 lacs on account of this delay

2. I had to call the sender of the documents in Oman a number of times resulting in avoidable and unnecessary expenditure.

3. I had to undergo a great deal of mental anxiety and unrest owing to non-receipt of my employment and visa documents contained in the envelope under reference sent to me from Oman .

Holding you responsible for this gross negligence, I hereby call upon you to compensate me for the financial loss incurred by me as above to the tune of Rs.2.55 lacs within a week of the receipt of this letter, failing which I will be constrained to take such action as permitted under the law including approaching the consumer court for redressal of my grievance.
