[Resolved]  Digital TV — Attitude Problems

I am one of your valuable customer having two mobile, land line and broad band connections. On Nov 10, 2009 I had surrendered the Dish TV connection due to timely non response and took Airtel DTH from Croma Palam Vihar vide customer ID no. [protected] and asked the customer care of Airtel on the same day night the procedure for multi connections to get special offer on the second. The executive told me to go for another connection and as directed by him I had gone for the second connection on Nov 12, 2009 vide customer ID no. [protected] from Suraj Business Pvt Ltd, Palam Vihar and informed the dealer that this would the second connection. The dealer did all formalities and asked me to wait till the end of 3 months free period. I also repeated the same thing to the technician who had come for the installation. The technician in turn spoken to your back office people and informed me that they have to make it as a single ID to get the benefit. On my insistence, once again spoke to the same people and confirmed me that this would done within a week time. I have showed the leaflet which states only special offer for multi connections. (The installer was not even carrying the connector required also). On confirmation from the staff, I allowed him to install it. When I rechecked with the customer care after around 10 days the executive at Airtel was not at all cooperative and put the blame on me. When I pointed out that I had already informed the customer care, dealer and the technician about this still he was not only non cooperative but also asked me to complain where ever I wished. The customer care executive despite knowing the entire details from the address and mobile no. never told me that the special offer is applicable on single ID only. I feel the executives should be educated at least with the company’s product and services while dealing with customers.
Once again, I approached the dealer and he told me to bring both the ID nos at the time of expiry of 3 months. I showed both the IDs to the dealer yesterday and he told me that he would do it within half an hour. I got a call from the dealer that Airtel was not accepting which made me to write this complaint. Once again, I would request you to shed the attitude of harassing the customer and instead provide solution to my problems at an early date. I hope that wisdom will prevail upon you and take this matter seriously; otherwise, I will be forced to escalate the matter to very higher level to get justice.
An early positive action in this regard will be highly appreciated.

With Regards

Digital TV — Dis-service to the consumer

My Customer Id number is [protected].I registered a complaint number 475758 on December 21, 2008 regarding non working of the Set Top Box, serial number - [protected].The complaint in question was attended by ur representative after a long wait of 192 hoursi.e., on December 29, 2008.Such a cold attitude from a firm having a good standing in the market is quite undeairable.I had to wait for 8 days helplessly.I may also inform you that on December 30, I tried to lodge my resentment at toll free number[protected], but so to inform you that yourexecutive refused to entertain my complaint.

You might be knowing that all these tantamounts to dis-service to the consumer.Who is responsible for un-necessary and avoidable mental harrasment by me.

Hope to receive your comments without any delay.

AirTel — Non-cooperative attitude

I retired as Incometax Officer from Allahabad and have settled down at Viman Nagar, Pune. I wanted to avail one pre-paid mobile connection having heard a lot about Airtel Service. In fact I have an internet
connection and a telephone for which service was attended to my utmost satisfaction. But yesterday I had gone to Airtel showroom located in Viman Nagar near Datta Mandir as I wanted a prepaid mobile connection. I took my passport-photograph with me (photocopy as well as original). There were about four workers and one lady. I asked for the connection. I showed my original passport and a photocopy. They said they want a zerox copy of the passport. I got it copied from an opposite shop and when I approached them they said"the photo is not clear". I gave them one coloured photograph. The passport in original contains my photograph. Then they said "Yeh nahi chalega". Passport is an authentic document and I do not know what else they want. Then they said we mdo not have mobile connection stock. They just did not bother me a senior and respectable citizen and they went on gossipping with each other and did not care how to treat a new customer. Then I came out of the shop telling them "I don't want this connection". Is this the way they treat a customer? Then I went to a shop styled "Om Mobile Shoppe" who was very courteous, gave me a connection and by 3.30 PM the connection was activated. I request you to look into the behaviour and see that atleast they behave well with customers who come to your showroom looking at the Board. Thank u
