[Resolved]  Electrolux — cooling problem

Refrigerator is not cutting off. The refrigerator has to be put on/off every few hours. Complaint given to M/s Casa Madhav, Panaji more than two months ago.

Service technician visited our place and reported that the thermostat needs to be replaced and the same would be done within a maximum time of one week in case the part was not readily available. It is two months and there is sign of the thrmostat, in spite of repeated follow up with Casa Madhav.

If it takes months for a thermostat to be replaced, in case of a compressor failure how many years would it take?

Sir,

The below narrated is pathetic story about your company’s product. This is for your kind information and needful action.

I have an Electrolux Refrigerator model and chasis no.”235L Luxury” date of purchase on 20.12.03 from 24.8.06 the same is giving frequent troubles in every 6 months and the same used to get repaired through the service centre of said company. From the past 1 month the same is under non-operational subsequently made two complaints through the said company’s call center but no action taken, thereafter I have directly contacted the service provider of said company M/s. Star Service, A4/V Vikrampuri, Karkhna, Secunderabad and subsequently one of its representatives had visited my home on 15.7.08 and replaced couple of spare parts and collected Rs.1500/-, immediately next day onwards the same is not working and several calls made to the said authorized service agent but just beating around the bush and neither attending the complaint nor refunding the money. It is still a dream of purchasing the refrigerators in this country for some of the families and such company’s marketing inferior products must be ousted and action to be taken on Star Service for cheating the clients under the pretext of authorized service agent.

I think you all better -bundle out from India along with this company.

Again service engineer of said company visited on 31.7.08 and again replaced two components of the same component and now completely stopped working the refregerator the same has conveyed to Star Service and I am at lost where to contact. Even faxing a letter to the company's ( Electrolux) company's M.D., Mumbai there is no response.

Dear Sir,
I have purchased one refregartor on 4.11.2007. But nor there is cooling problem. Five years warrenty was also given for the compressure. One trechnician said that the compressure in refregerator is substandard quality is fixed . Even though in the warrenty period your technical people are asking Rs.1500/- repair charges. I shall be obliged i you would kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

Electrolux — complaint for compressor before 2 years and now condenser

I bought my 245FF ozone electrolux fridge from SYSTEMS AND DEVICE Ravipuram MG Road cochin on 9 th june 2007 and then onwards there was a sound coming which I THOUGHT was normal only later found out it is coz of the problem in the compresser the sound was coming and last december 2009 the company service people came and changed the compresser and filled gas and charged me with a bill amount of rs 1620 /- and there after again in feb the cooling again started decreasing and then they found condensor fault and again a charge for repair of RS 2700 which I AM not ready to spend as it is coz of the default I had to pay an excess eletricity bill also..Now I insist the company do something about it . PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL .

Electrolux Refrigerator — cooling problem

We purhcased a Electrolux refrigerator and after 2 years there was some problem in cooling efficiency after reporting to the outsourced authrorised service centre Take Care (I) Pvt Ltd ( NK Electrical & Refrigeration near Rattan Talkies Chowk Main Road, Ranchi ), they took the unit and charged 800 Rs plus freight and gave 3 months warrany, within 6 weeks the same problem re occured and they took the unit back for a week and charged us freight without giving any service unit, after 4 week the same problem re occured and the service centre was again asking for 800 Rs and frieght to which we reminded them about the charged paid earlier and the warranty, I even took the matter to a Electrolux representative in Ranchi Md Sajid, he said he would look into the matter and get back in couple of hours, I ve been trying to call him since two days but he is not picking up my call and he just asked the service centre to charge a service charge of 250 and freight, this is not expected from a company like Electrolux, I would really appreciate if you take some stern action

It is due to the leakage in condenser. If it is a concealed one nothing can be done.

My ELECTROLUX Refrigerator Model ERP285FF showed a complaint No Cooling on 6th April 2011. I registered a complaint with the Authorized Service Center M/s TEKWINS ELECTRONICS, Chittur Road, Palakkad, The timer was not working and no gas was there in the line. They tested and brazed the pipe near compressor and recharged the gas. They charged Rs 2450/-. But after running about 8 hours it is found that there is no sufficient cooling in the freezer. After inspection the technician told that there may be leakage in the condenser portion which is concealed and they cannot do anything. Then I registered a complaint with customer care on 14th April 2011 with complaint number PCOC[protected] and till date nobody called or visited the site. When ever I call the customer care they give some promises that today they will call, tomorrow they will call like that. After repeated enquiry I got a Service Engineer in Kochi and I got a reply that if the leakage is from concealed condenser line, it is not reparable. It may be noted that the refrigerator is only 5 years old. When enquired I knew that this type of complaint is common in Electrolux Refrigerators as they use inferior quality tubes for manufacturing condenser. Also the timer damages frequently resulting heavy loss to customer.

I will advice to friends not to even see at electrolux refrigerators.
My complaint no. Is ELUD[protected] on 7june2012.Your engineer visited us but could not solve the problem.He told me that the lower fan is not working.But he never checked the fan nor he told me any alternative.Is your stocks not available.Please get my refrigerator repair as soon as possible.What is the use of visiting the engineer if the problem persists?
