EMPLOYEES PROVIDENT FUND — PF not received
Dear Sir/Ma'am,My name's Dwayne Lemos, I worked at a radio station that goes by the corporate name of Music Broadcast Private Limited from the 30th October 2005 till 10th October 2008. My PF number is MH/46563/117. I'm based in Bandra, Mumbai. MBPL is based in Bandra too.
Today is the 22nd April 2009. It has been over 6 months since I have left MBPL, unfortunately I have not yet been able to find employment. As you can imagine, my financial situation is nothing to brag about. I contact MBPL on 3rd April to ask about the status of transfer of funds from my PF account to my persoanl account. They in turn diverted me to their payroll company, Reliable Sawant PS Consultants, I believe they are called.
The payroll company gave me my PF number (mentioned above) and told me that the necessary PF withdrawl forms (form 19 and 10C), which I had filled on my last date at MBPL, were submitted to the PF office on 1st April 2009. They further said that it would take an additional 3 months for the money to be transfered from my PF account to my personal account with HDFC bank, Bandra West, Pali Naka, Landmark Building. This would make for a total of 9 months since I left. An exteremely long time to be without a stable source of income. The period actually goes against the very purpose of the PF department, which is, in part, help destitute unemployed working people at times of need, like myself.
The online tracking site of th PF department however, (http://www.epfindia.com/indiaepf/loginnew.aspx), denies that any claim application has been made. This site was last updated on the 16th April 2009. I have been trying to get in touch with the PF office here via telephone, but the operator never picks up the phone. In fact it was disconnected several times. Here are the numbers [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected]. I got these from TM-Just Dial. I tried other numbers listed on the www.epfindia.com but had no luck there either.
I am planning on heading down to the PF office in bandra east later today, but honestly don't think that will make any difference either. Especially not with the elections just around the corner.
Money is an exteremely rare commodity in my region of the world right now and my PF money will go a long way in leviating the financial pressure I am facing. I request you to kindly take up my cause with the PF department. Please help. Thank you.
