Flipkart — Used equipment shipped against COD, no refund till today. 12 days later

Police complaint filed against Flipkart for cheating customers.

I received the parcel at 12 days ago. The box was open at both ends. I refused to take delivery but the delivery person Mr. Deepak was very rude and insisted that I take delivery, as he had come to my house earlier to make delivery and I was not at home. He was very rude and abusive.

I took photographs of the opened package in front of him. I also took photos of him and his motor cycle, as I expected a problem and I paid him cash Rs 9400.

I entered my house and opened the parcel. I found inside the parcel a used HTC phone in a very poor condition. I have attached a photo of the phone in the parcel.

I called the Flipkart customer service number[protected].

I spoke with a woman named Pooja. She took my complaint and gave me a reference number #[protected].

This is the first time I am purchasing anything from Flipkart. I am shocked and extremely disappointed in every aspect:

1. Rude delivery person.

2. He did not even call me when he was attempting delivery. he did not call me today either. I think the reason he did not call was to ensure that I did not have his mobile number.

3. Improper shipment. I can understand if a wrong brand new mobile had been shipped. that mistake can be attributed to an error in shipping dept. But to ship a used phone with all accessories missing is a serious problem.

4. I have paid cash Rs 9400 for this shipment. I had expect this issue to be resolved in 24 hours and my cash returned. i was not going to wait for 10 days or 2 weeks, ship the parcel to some address and then get a cheque etc etc. I paid cash, I want cash. I expected the parcel to be picked up from my home and cash delivered. It is now over 10 days and this issue has not yet been resolved.

Please call me at any time ( 24 hours ) to resolve this issue.

Flipkart has not picked up the defective item or made a refund to me till today. It has been 12 days !

I post my complaint on Facebook on the Flipkart page every day. Every day I receive a call from Flipkart consumer service and they apologize profusely and the person promises that the package will be picked up that very day and I will receive the f=refund on that very day. This drama has been going on for now 2 weeks. No one has picked up the parcel and I have not received the refund of the Rs 9400 cash that i paid on the COD delivery.
