[Resolved]  Ganesh Cars Vellore - Maruti Suzuki — Poor Service

I had purchased Swift VXI in December 2007 from ABT Maruti, Chennai. I had done all routine maintenance services as per schedule. However, on 1st Aug 2008, when i was travelling from Bangalore to Chennai, my vehicle met with an accident. This was caused due to the sudden failure of the brakes and the locking of the steering wheel because of that. I have still not been given any explanation as to why the brakes failed. The Maruti officials have not given any explanation and have been callous towards my complaint.

Further to that, I had left the vehicle for repair at Ganesh Cars, Vellore on Aug 2nd. i was promised that the vehicle would be delivered within two months. However, when i visited the dealer in october, i found that the repair had not yet been started. I had raised the issue with Maruti Suzuki. They didnt even bother to respond to my complaint. its been 5 months and still i have not been given a delivery date for my vehicle. Being in Bangalore, i am unable to make frequent visits to vellore to check the status of my car. its been a very bad experience with maruti and its dealers. its been a year since i bought the car. its lying with the dealer for the major part of the time.

The dealer has a history of complaints against him in various forums. i recommend consumers not to approach this showroom for any of their requirement. Also, i would request people not to go for Swift car as it has a history of accidents caused due to malfunction of brakes etc.

I am Prof.S.Kalainathan, VIT University Vellore. My Alto car number is TN 23 AA 3197. I gave my car to Ganesh cars for service on 8.10.10. I have informed the service people what are the parts to be serviced including very small parts of cost even Rs.4.00 also. At that time the side mirror was in good condition. Today (10.10.10) I have taken the car from the service centre and found that the side mirror frame was damaged. During the delivery time Mr.Ramesh (customer care) also with me and he also noticed the damage and promised me to solve the problem. Later I contacted the car service in charge through mobile[protected]. But the response was not good. But he is telling that the damage happened before giving the car to service. But it is not true. Through mobile the service person explained me about the service and what are the parts going to be changed while the car was in the service centre. But, he did not tell anything about the damage of side mirror.

I have purchased the in 2004. So far I have given the car for service many times to Ganesh car. It is the first time I am not happly with the service and facing the problem Kindly do the needful.
