Goair — Refund of ticket cancellation

On 24-June-2009, I had booked a ticket on GoAir flight G8452 for 19-July-2009 (from Cochin to Mumbai) via credit card. Subsequently, I had to cancel my travel plan and cancelled the ticket through Internet on 14-July-2009. Cancellation charges of Rs. 750/- have been deducted; however, GoAir has only issued a voucher (valid upto 14-July-2010) instead of refunding the balance amount of Rs. 2721/- to the credit card account.

This is a fraud as the GoAir ticket does not make a mention of this type of voucher or credit note. Now, I have to pay the bank for the credit card transaction (for total amount of Rs. 3471/-) but GoAir retains the balance amount of Rs. 2721/- as well as the cancellation charge of Rs. 750/-. Kindly take necessary action to get the money (rs. 2721/-) refunded as my money is unnecessarily blocked by the airline. Such sort of cheating is just not acceptable to me.

Go Air — Cancellation Policies.

Cheating costomers. once you book on this airline you can be sure that your money will not come back to youwhatever the case be. i had booked on bom-maa and the flight was comfortably delayed by 3.30 hours. ground staff replied that it was not their mistake that the flight was delayed and they said that only if flight is delayed by 9 hours i would full refund otheriwe no rescheduling no refund at all. none of the airlines have such stringent policies. its better to pay 500 more for any other flight than travelling on go air.

go airlines — cancellation charges for the flight cancelled by GO air

I had booked a ticket for jaipur for the 5th of december 2008. PNR NO UL0HC6. Go AIr have cancelled the flight and are levying me the cancellation charges of Rs.750. would like to ask the management of GO Air that is it ethical that the company ancels the flight and we are penalised for the same.
It seems, Go Air has taken up a business of making money by cancellation of booking. More than 10% can be earned just by selling/cancelling tickets. Days are numbered.
I fully a agree with the complainant. It is a fraud being played by Goa air on the public. Regulatory agencies & statutory bodies should take note of this & act firmly against this loot being openly resorted by Go Air
Same thing happenned to me... And they did not even have the courtesy to mail the voucher code
GO AIR refund policies are created to punish customers who even would like to reschedule tickets. I had to pay 750 per flight instead of per booking.

My money is also held by the company instead of refund. This is absolutely unethical and these criminals should be punished. I am willing to spend money to file a case on this company.

These are bunch of criminals who started such company. Their base fair is so low and taxes are too much. I am feeling like ripped off.

I just want to reschedule the ticket but they are asking 750 per ticket instead of per booking. This is ridiculous. Their GoFlexi has features for free rescheduling but I ...ah... I should have paid little extra to calculate the risk.

I cancelled my goair ticket. After deduction they issued me voucher.This is totally misbehave with coustomer.Tell me how i will get my money in cash from goair.
I cancelled my ticket from Ahmedabad to Balgalore and amount Rs. 2402 is retained in the form of credit note.
Can anybody tell me the process to get the amount back.

GoAir — Missing of luggage

my luggage was misplaced in goair Flight no G8-229 from Delhi to Mumbai on 25th NOV,10. I am stillawaiting my Luggage after lapse of 8 Days. No body respond also . P take this complaint at higher management and requested to penalyse the erring persons to creat confidence in in constumer . such air lines make mockery of Democracy .

GoAir — Baggage missing and no one is giving any info

My baggage no. is 00G8913846.
I took G8-352 from Lucknow to Delhi and G8-201 from Delhi to Bangalore on Feb 1, '11. I was on ticket no. Ticket #NO6BR5.
I had a Black backpack with all my important belongings. I landed in Bangalore at 12pm, didn't receive my luggage. I stayed at the airport till 5pm, asking officials, someone said it'll come at the 3:30pm flight, then the 6:30pm flight, then they can't track it. I've been calling various phone nos., nobody knows where my luggage is. My fear is, I may lose all my important belongings. There is no help. No one is giving me any info. They are telling me to go home and wait for their call...
I sincerely hope this message reaches someone who can take some action and help me.

GoAir — Non refund of money against cancelled booking

I booked Goair tickets on 9th March'11 for Mumbai to Delhi & Return vide confirmation number is OZWMOM for travelling on 2nd April'11 & return on 5th April'11 however the ticket was cancelled on 30th March'11 against which credit note issued vide number C4F257.

It is sorry state of customer support & I am still waiting for refund even after passage of more than month from the date of cancellation.

Following is the itnerary details:

I am also shocked when I saw the voucher of Rs.5316 after cancelling my return tickets to delhi from pune. I have paid penalty of 1500 as caqncellation charges, what else they require??? Also, if any one has information can I book ticket for any other person using this voucher, or only I will be able to use this Voucher, because I m in no mood to travel by go air from now on ???
It is strange as their cancellation policy provides for refund by cheque after deducting specified chares. Their refund policy text from their "citizen Charter' put at their website is as follows:- "On cancellation of travel itinerary it is seen that normally customers prefer to take the refund by way of credit note with validity of 12 months as it becomes more convenient and easily available to use it for future travel. The refund however will be given by way of Mode of Payment if preferred by the customer cancelling his bookings(in case of cash bookings, the refund will be given in the form of cheque). Cancellations to bookings less than 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time will be treated as no show customers.
I have further checked with go-air. Infact, they are by default issuing credit notes against cancellations, even if you cancel tickets by logging in at their site. I you want cash refund, you will have to get your tickets directly cancelled through their customer care specifically stating that you want cash refund.

GoAir — no refund

I had purchased a ticket from GoAir from their website. Due to some reasons, I had to cancel my journey. I cancelled my ticket and was expecting a refund. GoAir didn't give any refund, but only provided with a credit voucher. This is a malpractice and forces one to fly on the same airlines.
Repeated request to the airlines had no effect as they said that they don't refund money in case of cancellation. I kept on pestering them but of no use.
At Last I sent an email to DGCA, and lodged a complaint against the airline. It took another 6 months for me to get my money back.
I advise all passengers not to buy tickets from GO Air website. Instead buy tickets from other websites like Yatra, cleartrip etc as they are very prompt with their refunds
I had a similar experience with GO Air. They said that it is not their policy to refund money, but instead give a credit voucher.

What a funny reply when demanded for money, after cancelation of thee tickets worth Rs 16680/-, New chaprter opened as -no show. Line marked "-----" are not customer statements.

With reference to the trail mail, we regret to note that you had not been able to utilize your booking vide PNR- U2DD5Z for the scheduled travel.

“Incase of cancellation the balance of the original booking amount will be retained in a credit shell for a period of 12 months where the passenger may use it as payment towards future travel. Incase of non-utilization during the validity period, the credit note amount is liable for forfeiture.”

Thus had the PNR been cancelled on the website, system would have automatically generated a voucher and the same would have then been flashed on the screen.( not customer fault )

We regret to state that the captioned PNR, as per our records has not been cancelled and since it was neither utilized for travel the same is coded as No Show. Since PNR-U2DD5Z is a “No Show” and the Passenger service fee (PSF) of Rs. 221/- Service tax- Rs.155/- and PHF of Rs.50/- per passenger would be reversed into your mode of payment within 4 working days, and thereafter we humbly request you to kindly contact your card issuing bank and confirm its receipt.
