[Resolved]  Godrej — MANUFACTURING DEFECT

We had bought a Godrej Refrigerator in the year 2007. With in 8 months of time it developed cracks inside. We sent mails to the company along with the photos for which they never replied. Then we sent a legal notice to them and only they agreed to replace the refrigerator. We got our refrigerator replaced only in October 2008. We also paid the difference in the amount. To our surprise there was a gas leakage in June 2010 and the cooling had stopped. We paid for the gas filling and got it repaired. Gas was leaking gradually and finally it stopped cooling in May 2012 and after several request the technicial for inspection. While refilling the gas for nearly an hour he found that the problem was with the compressor and replaced the compressor. With in a few days after replacing the compressor the refrigerator stopped cooling. He also confirmed that the continuous gas leakage was only due to inheent manufacturing defect. Since 1985 we are using Godrej Refrigerator only. But in recent times the quality of the product has deterioated. The worst part is that nobody from the company responds to any of the customer mails. We get a reply only for legal notices. Please help us to get our money back as we would like to buy a refrigerator of some other company as we have enermously suffered on trusting the Godrej Brand.

Godrej Fridge — Manufacturing defect

Dear sir,

I purchase one refrigerator on 11th october,2010 model No gfp2203zop S.NO. J[protected] of Godrej company.
Which creat problem for me from the starting day.When I complain for a lot of time they come and change my refrigerator door but still now the problem is not changed and it creat a lot of additional problem.

I am a retired headmaster I cant invest more also in it but the dealer named Ashoka Enterprise has also not taking any step from where I purchase I ll send the bill of that latter on as now I havnt that scan copy .

Sir I purchased a refrigator about 5 years back of godrej company for the first year its cooling was good but from the very next year it started giving problem in cooling and since then every year in summers I have to get it gas refilled from there srvice centre and every time they give me the reason that gas chocked but since this problem is arising every year without any gap it seems to me it is a manufacturing defect an this refrigerator I have purchased earlier during last years when I told the technician who came to my house for looking about the problem in cooling that it seems that it is a manufacturing defect they told me its not as my refrigerator was under warranty during those years moreover when I called at their customer care then instead of hearing my problem and properly registering it they simply tell me " sir our technician will visit to your house and you will have to giv rs.250 to him as service charge " it seems to me that these guys are sitting there simly to loot the customers via selling there faulty produts and not giving proper after sales service to their customers I demand you to take extremely strict action as this problem is giving me mental tension and anxiety and if this problem pertains and this faulty refrigerator of mine is not replaced I shall be forced to move to the consumer court
