the worst experience i had when i travelled in greenlinetravels tirumala tour package...very very rash driving..thank god we reached home alive...the guide is useless...very rude..he doesnt know how to deal with passengers...next, the food and accommodation in tirumala residency hotel...rooms are dirty to the core.they will allow only half an hour to fresh up...no tea or coffee will be provided..then they took us to ticket counter by 3a.m...counter will be open only by 5a.m..we got to wait in long queue and get 50/-ticket...they took us again to tirumala residency hotel for breakfast...never before i had such a bad food in my life...there is no table..we are allowed to sit in plastic chairs and have food...no fan nothing...then they dint allow us for mottai saying that it is not part of thier package..but they promised they will allow us for that during booking...we fought with the guide and finally gave some bribe for a fraud recommended by that guide and performed mottai for our child..then finally got darshan after waitng for 3 long hrs in queue... HIGHLY INDISCIPLINED AND UNORGANISED TOUR PACKAGE.PLEASE DONT GO TO TIRUPATI IN GREEN LINE TRAVELS TIRUMALA TOUR PACKAGE.I REGRET CHOOSING THIS PACKAGE. Was this information helpful? | |

NEVER EVER TRAVEL BY GREENLINE TRAVELS TOUR PACKAGE. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TROUBLING URSELF KNOWINGLY.
Yes, rightly said above. We also had the worst experience, through this Greenline Travels. Its just horrible and chaotic. There is no proper arrangement for fooding, accomodation and above all the the problems faced during the Travel. They made us stand in queue from 2.30 a.m when we reached Tirupati.
It was raining heavily and we were told to stand in that rain for collecting the darshan ticket.
Before doing this he first parked the vehicle near the hotel and checked for availability of rooms. Since there were no vaccant rooms he took us directly to the place from where darshan ticket is collected and made us stand there in the heavy rain from 2.30 a.m itself. We stood there for more that 6 hours and fnally were able to get the ticket at 8.30 a.m.Then he took us to the hotel where he gave only 20 mins to get ready for 11 a.m darshan. The room, bathroom was very dirty as if never cleaned before and not even a single nail /hanger was available were you can put your clothes.
Even when we could get ready, he brought other people .You can just imagine condtion there.
Rest all is the same which is described above.
Hence I suggest you all not to take this GREENLINE TOUR TRAVEL PACKAGE.Also if you get any GREENLINE Id please let me know so that it can be directly taken further. I really want to make them feel what they have done and strict actions must be taken against them.

Greenline travels mysore sight seeings.
Strongly agree with you people. One of the "worse than worst" travel I have seen. I had been to Mysore - daily sight seeing with my family. I took it only because of they use to drop while coming back at same point where they picked you up in morning (because normal time to return is 12 A.M.) And at mid night no one would like to fight with auto guy.
Any way why I am saying its bad
1. Guide was drunk.
2. Not all points were covered as then told while booking the ticket.
3. One of the worst hotel where they stopped the bus for lunch(For normal public Meal=40/- for us its45/- ) and even rice was not cooked well, only one toilet in hotel without water inside.
4. More and more bugs and small cockroaches inside the bus.
5. While dropping at night, they refused to drop me at correct place. Now there I fought strongly, very strongly, and finally they dropped me where i was picked up at 1:35 A.M. (can you imagine how much energy is required to fight at midnight...)
So please friends DON'T choose it.
So what you can do ---
Go for KSTDC or KSRTC, you will end up paying few hundreds more but you will not be cheated or threatened. and mostly here in bangalore either you are family or young couple.

lemme tell you one thing very clearly, going to tirupathi or gettiing darshan is not very simple.
my friend had booked a ticket on green line travels for a single day darshan. after that only i came across this complaint. i must say we were prepared for the worst.
we were dropped at 0315hrs on sunday morning, which i must say was the best time to stand in the queue. Ours were the second bus to reach that counter and we were able to get tickets by 0525hrs which was sooner than i expected. All, ITDC, KSTDC, APTDC buses reached late and it took more time for them to get darshan tickets.
then we were taken to tirumala residency, the room was clean and nice man...but the bed was not so good, but who wanted to take rest...we got fresh and went to darshan...the guide had made all arrangements to keep our cell phones, shoes everything, what better can u expect?
Darshan for us took not more than one and half hours, and that was my greatest surprise...we came back and had an awesome lunch in the same hotel and went to padmavathi ammaiyar temple...from there we reached bangalore in 6 hours...which is not a simple job and the driver wasnt rash too...
Sometimes, when you have very high hopes, or due the mistakes from the counter people, or due to unavoidable conditions the above may have occured...but it is not always...
For me...it was the best thing any private travels can do for Tirupathi trip...

Strongly agree with you people. One of the "worse than worst" travel I have seen. I was travelling to Tirupathi on a weekend from Bangalore along with two more friends. They promised to give provide all ladies seats for all the three o[censored]s. But there are only two seats available, for one o[censored]s there is no seat at all. When I was questioning them, they told they will settle the issue & made us wait untill we reach Bangalore out skirts. After that they asked one o[censored]s to sit in the driver cabin. Finally one person compramised as we are ladies & he gave his seat to us & he sat in the drivers cabin. As we can't catch any thing to come back to bangalore from the out skirts, I sat next to gents in the seat offered by the person who sat in the drivers cabin. Employees of this travels are very rude and they don't respond in a polite way. They don't provide minimun facilities like water & blankets inside the A/C bus. We paid 1000rs per head & it's a waste. In Tirupathi also they a room to three o[censored]s to fresh up in half an hour time. They keep on irritating by asking us to come soon as we took 15minutes extra. With in that 15extra minutes, 2 of the employee atleast asked us to come soon for 15 times. Pl never go for this travels. It's hell travelling by this travels. As I am running out of time I could not explain the worst trip in Green Line travels in detail. Never opt for it.

one of the worst experience the passenger has felt during the travel and then why these and stupids have to organise these tour package.let them stop organising these package once for all.this is my strong recommendation.
most horrible travel co. They should be banned for asking people to stay in half constructed places, risking their lives. The rash driving, the rude guides, the inhospitable treatment!! At one point the travel people were ready to fight (mavaali type) with some of the travellers, when they were made to face their mistakes.

RAJ RESIDENCY HOTEL CHENNAI — WORST HOTEL
ONE OF WORST HOTEL I EVER SEEN IN MY 37 YEARS FOR A HIGH END ROOM RENT. NO FACILITIES AVAILABLE. WORST MAINTAINED ROOM. AC NOT WORKED. NO WATER IN THE MID NIGHT. NO ROOM SERVICE. ILIFT WAS STOPPED BY THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT PEOPLE FOR THEIR OWN REASONS. NEVER STAY IN THE HOTEL FOR GOD SAKE.

yes, I too agree with all the above comment. They dont understand the problem faced by the customers. they are big cheaters. they are such that say good things while booking tickets and never keep up their words, they just ignore the customers and mint money. Well, I also had a very bad experience with green line travels. I had booked the tour for kodaikanal for 3 ppl. i was ready to pay more for some good accommodation so i opted for star category, the more expensive one. i booked tickets via "ramya travels" in jeevan bhima nagar. he promised that it'll be a very big room and comfortable for 3 ppl with extra bed and not just extra mattress. also he got us front seats in the bus and "confirmed" that it'll be same seats while returning as well. so we happily went for the tour. ofcourse when we reached there, we were made to stay in a small room with extra mattress and agent's tone had completely changed and he asked us to just contact green line head office.
all the arrangement there was taken care by mr raja's tours. he told us to take that room or go and stay wherever we wanted. the room had no view though the hotel was called "valley view" and i was just wondering how the rooms will be in deluxe and normal categories? also as a compensation for all the "trouble"' we caused him, he gave us back seat out of which one was broken. green line doesn't have their own bus to kodai kanal so it was mayura travel bus and i overheard the driver telling some passengers that mayura keeps most of the front seats for ppl who booked tours via mayura except for some small quota for other tour operators. so rest of the ppl get back seats. please note that when you go for booking, you'll find them to be most hospitable ppl in the world. once you start the journey, you can start to see the change. you can't go by their promises, and they won't give you every detail in the beginning, like i asked many times which hotel we'll stay in . but they kept saying, it'll be good one, don't worry and it'll be decided later based on which 3star hotel has room available.it is more effort, but better option is to book bus and hotel separately and in advance, esp for the bus. also i found out that it is very easy to find local operators for sight seeing. and package actually turns out to be much more costlier than if you do the booking yourself. i had taken one tariff card from the hotel i stayed and for the same package cost, you can afford a better one always.

even I had the same experience. for us the guide told that it is not possible to come back to bangalore on time if we opt for 50rs. que. he suggested us to go through rs. 300 que. some of the members in our group did not opt for this. to our surprise, the got the darshan before us!

Green Line travels is one of the worst travels... never believe on what they commit... i traveled to kodai Kanal via Green Line travels. Paid extra for the AC bus so that the journey should be comfortable and we reach on time... the driver early morning 6 o'clock woke us up and told Kodai people get down here.. i was wondering if we reached so early... then he asked us to sit in a local transport bus... i didn’t understand why shud we go to another bus if we reached Kodai, ... when i asked the driver which place is this he didnt answer the question and just kept our luggage in the other bus... later from a local cab guy, standing at that bus stop, i got to know that the stop was Kodai Road and not Kodai Kanal... When I asked him the driver how long will it take from Kodai Road to Kodai Kanal, he said only half n hour. Since the local bus was leaving we had to rush to the bus... it took 3 n half hour to reach Kodai Kanal...
Atleast they shud had informed us that the bus doesn’t go to Kodai Kanal... We had to face so many problems... Its better to opt for Sharma, KPN than Green Line...

imagine a refreshment room without proper water and aminites. after all you will be visiting god, you need to be clean.
imagine a trip without good breakfast.you will have to stand in queue for hours,
you will find all of this in green travels, better dont choose this travels
instead go by KSRTC VOLVO OR BY YOUR OWN CAR, stay in a good hotel (lot of options available, have little patience to search on your own, check the room before advancing, andra hotels will not be as good as karnataka hotels).
And directly travel to tirumala by govt bus and purchase Rs 300 ticket (seegra darshana),
now you are done with darshana, have your lunch at tirumala itself (pretty good hotels available),
go back to tirupati by bus, and rest you will know what to do.

I am Wing Commander Kundu and i travelled with my Family on 31 Mar 2011 seat no A2, 1 and 2 for Tirupati darshan. I was shocked at how the tour was conducted. The room at hotel Padmavati was awful stinking of cigarette butts in the bathroom, torn bed sheets and pillow cover, unclean room with used nappy pads, no water in wash basin, no mirror either and without curtains for windows. I have the photographs if anyone wants to disagree. I felt it was a mistake to bring my family along for this visit. the guide- one Mr Suresh was rude till my wife shut him up. then he made us keep our foot wear in the volvo bus at tirupati and went to tirumala bare footed. we were in the Rs 300 queue at 0530 hrs but the gate opened only at 0830 hrs. so it was 1030 hrs when we could complete the darsan. took another 30 min to collect the laddoo prasad. From then till 1300 we were waiting for the APSRTC bus to take us back to Tirupati. I felt like asking Suresh to remove his footwear and walk barefooted on the hot road!! Lunch at the same hotel was like a slum, for three other buses had passengers having lunch together at the same time- no place to even stand. the ac of the bus was hardly working and the driver gave some excuse of compressor problem. We came back to Mysore and put up a complaint with Mr Ravi of Siddhartha layout and he tried to tell us that he would inform the owner, which I wonder if he would care to hear. May his tribe increase.

The most disorganised package trip i ever had experienced in my whole life.After paying Rs.4300 for the whole trip, they had torchured us to give Rs.1000/- and it was very idiotic. they showed us the most worst places for the sightseeing. VERY VERY RASH DRIVING.And in munnar, they torchured us to vacate the hotel, we couldnt even have breakfast nor lunch.MY ONLY WISH IS THAT NO ONE ELSE WILL SUFFER LIKE ME AND WISH THAT THIS IDIOTIC TRAVELS WILL SHUT DOWN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. greenline travels his very good serives.i used honey moon package Munnar-Alleppy.
