HCL — CD writer not working

i bought my laptop jus a few months ago. and my cd writer is not working. laptop is still in warantee period so will the hcl company provide me with servicing?

I have purchased 1 laptop at Tirupati (AP) on 16-09-08 with 2 yease warranty the model no is P28 160 GB, 2 GB Ram, now my laptop was getting problem with CD Drive, the cd drive was not working properly. How to rectify this problem ? The show room room pesons ( S S Computers) says we are not doing service here, how can i solve this problem. Please response and rectify this problem as soon as possible.

hey i think P-28 modle is not at all successful i purchased it 2 months b4 and DVD drive is not working properly and its touch pad is also not working i am fed up with its quality and service.
it dont write as well as cant read.
