[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — AMB Charges Debited by HDFC Bank

My account has been debited twice with Rs.280.90 for "AMB CHRG INCL ST & CESS" for SEPT2012 & OCT2012 without any prior intimation or alert.

I have never been communicated via Email or SMS for any such charges they introduced.

If they can send promotional emails and SMS to their customers then why can't they send an alert about a new charges they impose; so that customer can maintain the balance before it goes below the required amount.

This happened third time with me and its not acceptable in any case. Kindly process the refund for both these debit transactions otherwise I have to CLOSE my account with HDFC Bank forever.

This is not right from HDFC, same was happened to me. We must fight back against this AMB charges.
Updates:

I had visited HDFC bank Dahisar branch on Feb 28, 2013 to get my account closed; the officer at the branch asked me the reason for the account closure and I said its AMB charges issues. After a long argument (or a discussion), she granted a reversal for both the debit transactions of AMB charges, on the condition that I will keep the account open and maintain the AMB/AQB in my account in the future. I agreed on that terms and she said your account will be credited with Rs.561.80 in next 2 to 3 days.

It's Mar 21, 2013 today, and I am still waiting for the credit; the amount is still not credited to my account ! It's so embarrassing; I learnt a bitter lesson here that "you should never trust anyone as far as money is in concern".

Finally, after with an email reminder to them, I got the AMB Charges reversed on my account today!

Being salaried savings bank account, hdfc bank has deducted money from my account without any notification.
Even it, s a salary ac and i am still working with the same company
From Jun to dec they deduct the amount as AMB charges. I request you to kindly look into this issue and revert my amount at the earliest.

My ac. debited a total of 4602 rs in several months as amb charges by the bank without any perior notice kindly refund the money at the earliest otherwise am closing this ac.
