[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — CHEQUE BOUNCE SIGNATURE DIFFERENCE is a PART of INCOME for BANKERS

I Deposit approx 65K Cheque for Payemnt of My Citi bank Credit Card in Chandigarh, My HDFC Saving Account Debited next Day morning By HDFC Bank after That Reverse the Amount to my account same day at Own, Finally 2 Days later CitiAlert Recieve the Cheque is Bounced & then i made a Query to Citiphone Officer, They Intimate me the HDFC Cheque Returned due to Signature Difference, Now HDFC Bank is Charging Cheque Bouncing Charge, Citibank Credit Card is Charging the Cheque Bouncing, Late Panelty, Interest due to not ontime Payment, Its Cost me by Both Bank Approx. INR 4000.00, Is it OK with Citibank or HDFC Bank ? They Have not responsiblity to intimate if Cheque Signature Difference when we are keeping our so much money with them.I have seen Sevral Times I was Using Citibank Account in Gurgaon, If They Find my Counter Signature or Over writing at my Cheque They are Intimating me & Calling me in any Nearest Branch for a Signature again, & Never Bouncing The Cheque for These Reasons, When Citibank Call to A Customer so whynot Other Bankers do same. Is there any Law for it? Banks are simply making money by Returning the Cheques for Signature Difference. Can Any Agency made a Survey How many Genuine Cheques Bounced By HDFC Bank in a day. I have Seen in there 2-3 Branchs They are Simply denying to give the Money if same person is Standing on their counter & Simply saying Signature Difference. We are Just Ignoring it due to we dont have time to Fight with bank.
Can Any body suggest me How I can Treat with HDFC Bank in This case as I am Paying very Huge Panelty, Can I Claim with HDFC Bank for It

I have had the same problem with HDFC. I had 3 cheques returned and bounced. one was for my American Express credit card bill, another for my rental flat deposit and the last was for a rent payment. When i enquired why this was happening they said signature difference - i had to take the morning off from work to get the whole thing sorted out and even then they said it would take 5 days for this change to happen. How ridiculous - they had a signature of mine which didnt even look anything like how i have been signed cheques for the last 15 years!

The word bad customer service spring to my mind. My housing deposit cheque finally went through once i set up the phone system alert. This way HDFC will call you when you want a cheque to go through.

Today around 12.30 PM Iwent to AXIS Bank at GIRISH Park Metro, Ihave used my HDFC Debit Card No. xxxxxxxxxxxx8345, in first transaction I wanted to know my balance, it worked out successfully. Thereafter I used the card again for withdrawal of Rs.1000/(ONE THOUSAND) the transaction slip came out from the machine as RECORD No.1760 Transaction Declined 072 unable to process. Then I visited HDFC Maniktala ATM and wanted to withdraw bRs.1000/ it was successfully done. But I was surprised to see the transaction slip that anothe Rs.1000/ debited from my account vide EAW D.

Whwn the AXIS Bank transaction slip indicated that the transaction declined then how the amount was debited from my account.

This is for your information and necessary action please.

TO ALL,
Due to HDFC wrong mobile SMS, I fined to HDFC bank and my credit card provider. This bank is not proper functioning. They are sending irregular SMS when they are clearing the cheques. I total upset with this HDFC BANK
