[Resolved] HDFC Bank — Fraud Promotions by HDFC - Sony EMI offer

Hi I received a mail from HDFC Bank on 11/02/2010 stating that EMI Offer at No Extra Cost on Sony products available at selected showrooms (http://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/customer_center/offers_deals/Sony_outlets.htm)...⇄ They have mentioned some Terms and Conditions(http://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/customer_center/offers_deals/sony_tn...⇄ So i bought one sony product from one of the outlet mentioned by them. Subsequently i called the customer care of HDFC Bank and asked them convert my transaction into EMI but they denied me the offer instead they told there will be processing charges and Financial charges applicable if i convert the transaction to EMI From HDFC bank and they told me that i should have gone for EMI Option from the merchant side itself. But they haven't mentioned this in their mail or any of their links provided by them. I am new to EMI Options and I don't know whether i have done the mistake Please help me in this. I too went to sony show room yesterday and by luck called hdfc help line and the lady that side told me that the shopkeeper too should have hdfc bank machine and there only emi option will flash after swapping the card...so although i njoyed the offer but agryng wid u that they should 2 mention dis...

A simple word for you "Fool", lol Bank can't give you a single coin without interest or processing charge. It is what they business with, its the merchant who gets benefited by selling a product and they only can.
