I have a SB A/c with HDFC Bank opened in July 2008 with the feature of maintaining minimum balance of Rs 2500. HDFC Bank has increased the minimum balance to be maintained in SB A/c to Rs. 10000 on QAB basis w.e.f. 1.4.2010, but it was not informed to the customers. Now they have charged us for that with Rs. 834. When this was reported to my branch the Branch Manager behaved in a very rude manner and said it cannot be helped. At the same time another customer came and he also complained the same thing but branch manager still not accepted the lack of communication. Our email-id is updated with the bank and no such email was given to us to inform about this change. Despite the complaint there is no feedback from the bank. I am sure this must be the problem of many customers of HDFC Bank as the bank has not made adequate efforts in informing the customers. Kindly suggest what action can be taken and do the needful.
