HDFC Bank — Mental Torture and Crap Customer Service
I am Vikas Roy and I hold a Bank Account and a Credit Card with HDFC Bank. I had some charges about Rs. 30,000 to be paid to HDFC Bank Credit Card. I paid approximately 30,000 in installments. Long ago, the Credit Card department stopped sending me bills via courier and e-mail. They even stopped calling me. Recently, I had some money deposited to my account. HDFC Credit Card department put my account on hold. When called up the Customer Care, they told me that I have some amount left to be paid on my Credit Card. I asked the agent, how much? to which he replied that he cannot tell. He promised to arrange a callback within 48 hours. I waited for 2 days, but did not receive any call. After 2 days some more amount was deposited to my account, which was again put on hold by HDFC Bank. When called up Customer Care, they gave me the same reason. I asked to settle down the Credit Card thing. They again promised for a callback within 24 hours, but I did not receive any calls from them. Now, they are just holding all my account balance again and again and are not ready to talk to me or settle this down. My account is still on hold. What should I do?
