[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Life Insurance Policy — finance charges in credit card due to late payment by HDFC LIC

The date of commencement of my HDFCLIC Policy was 14 July 2010. I was told by the consultant/agent Mr. Nayan Bhowmick that the the annual premium amount of Rs.30000.00 shall be paid through my credit card and then again shall be repaid by HDFC and then shall be paid on monthly basis through my HDFC Credit card. The annual premium amount was paid through my credit card in the month of july itself. However, i was told by the agent not to make the payment. But since then, it was remaining as it is, every month i was getting charged with financial charges due to the pending payment and no repayment was being done by HDFCLIC. I called my agent almost everyday but was of no use. He then gave another person's no. Mr. Vinay Gupta (Ph. no: [protected]). After repeated request, the problem was solved and the repayment was made in February and the premium is being paid in monthly basis since then. But from july to January, I am charged finance charges of around Rs.4000.00 against that 30000.00. I am afraid if I have been misguided. Now they are saying that the finance charges could not be repaid. I had to pay the finance charges while the late payment was not at all my fault. I feel this is the way of making money by HDFC. I am a regular user of HDFC products. But after this, I lost all my trust on HDFC.
