[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Harrassment of employees

me maria george want to make a complaint against Hdfc Bank ltd.the Employees in this bank are harrased and the life becomes hell after joining this bank.
employees are not allowed to take leave even if they have sufficient balance also they have been told by the Branch Managers" leave is not your right" i think HDFC bank Hr has forgotton that there exist Labour office.
Employees has to work till late hours from 9 to 10-11-12 which is against the employement rule and they even don't get any overtime allowance for that.
i would like to get this into notice of the MD of the bank Mr.Aaditya Puri.
HDFC bank has forgotton that it has established the topmost position only because of their employees and they r least bothered...
HDFC bank has started the new policy now a days they ask their employees to close the "batch" exactly on 7.00 but they ask employees to work late after that.the idea behind closing batch is employees should leave branch by 7.00 but there is not a single day when employees can go home on 7.00.
specially in Silvassa branch this harrasment has reached at the highest point employees are fed up and searching for the new job or just quitting.
honarable Mr.Aditya Puri please take a look at this situation otherwise it will be very dangerous for the coming future.

I joined HDFC bank Gillander house ( Kolkata) april 2008 and worked as an assistant manager band 1 in credit card collection, for ONLY 10days, my experience was really very very bad with this bank. My post was given as namesake, i was doing telecalling for platinium card holders, no of cases given to me 30, and the oldies use to pressurise me to get collection within 2 days, whereas customers all had a good intention to pay and they all promise to pay within the due date, since i was new, my manager was on leave her name was Susana, others use to dominate me and this was against my nature. I had a good knowledge of collection, before HDFC i was in ICICI agency's senior team leader was working there 7 years, since that was the agency so i left and joined corporate world. This is where i did grave mistake, people out there has no heart, i stay quite far frm HDFC ( where i joined ), timing was 8.15 to 6.30, but for nothing i had to leave not before 8.30, and for that i use to reach home late night, i had a severe back problem, one Saturday i ask for leave before 5pm, they accept but with condition that i have to come on Sunday since i am leaving early on that day, i was not well so i did'nt turn up on sunday, they called me using all abusive languages. And after that i never look back at HDFC, HR tired to contact me but i changed my number and left the job. NOW after 4 years 5 month bank has sent me a legal notice that i have to pay 12k since left without prior notice .What bank was doing on these 4 yrs 5 months and suddenly send me a legal letter and stating that if not paid within 15days bank will proceed civil and criminal law at my own cost and peril. now my question is AM I ABIDE by banks law, what about my respect, and the humilation i suffered, why bank didnt sent me notice earlier, for what they were waiting for. I lost my job due to all employees, environment is terrible, u have only 15 minutes for lunch, school fellow has much more time than this. During that period of time HDFC was my nightmare i cudnt sleep well for numbers of days, i dont want my money for the days i worked then why HDFC is back of me to take money, IS HDFC nowadays collect money frm the ex employee to need their needs LOL. LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST I DIDNT SIGNED MY APPOINTMENT LETTER, BOTH THE COPY IS VERY MUCH WITH ME, CAN BANK SHOW THAT I ACCEPTED BANKS TERM AND CONDITION ??????????????????
I am Pavan Sharma. I have joined HDFC bank as Welcome Desk post on 28th jan. 2012. After joining HDFC Branch Manager Mr. Saurabh Chandra(S10043) tortured and harassed me & ultimately compelled to tender resignation on 18th Aug. 2012.I did not want to give resign, The Branch Manager the tortured are as follows –

1- If any customer comes in branch & I approached him, Branch Manager told all the staff not to cop rate me and said to me that go in market & source the accounts. He also did not allow me to open account walking customer in branch. He also told me that he will never confirm me.

2- I was compelled by Branch Manager to sit on cash (teller post) seat. This was not my job because I was not trained for that. One day Branch Manager called me that said deposit 2500/- rupees (5*500 notes) which were found to be duplicate but were not shown to me but the amount of rupees 2500/- was deducted from my salary and Branch Manager said me that counting machine is not working properly while the machine is still working.

3- On 17th March 2012 when I came back after Swagat Training, Branch Manager warmed me to tender resignation otherwise he would terminate me. On 26th march 2012 he told me that you have been terminated and ordered his guard to kick me out. I imagination on contacted Mr. Priyank Vijay (Cluster Head, jaipur) and he refused about my termination.

4- On 4th Aug. 2012 my IAMS - I.D. was not working so I told Branch Manager to help me and approved my ID then he refused & said that the loss of customer will paid by you. So I did the work of customer with help of Aseem Pratap Singh (new Welcome Desk employee) by using his ID because Branch Manager told me to do so. I was unaware of the fact that Branch Manager was trying to catch me to do something wrong knowing Ly.

Other HDFC bank staff are regularly doing this password sharing & key sharing also job with the help of other’s ID in knowledge of Branch Manager. But Branch Manager wanted me to quit the branch so he took the advantage of this mistake done by me.
On 6th Aug. 2012 this fact was brought to the notice of MR. Priyank Vijay (Cluster Head, Jaipur). Then both compelled me to tender resignation and ultimately an 18th Aug. 2012 Branch Manager himself typed my resignation from my ID and forwarded it to be accepted on 26th Aug. 2012 (CCTV camera Recording checked of 18th Aug. 2012 evening time).

These all facts are very important to spoil my career by Branch Manager Mr. Saurabh Chandra. He is in this branch for more then 3 years and harassing other staff members also who are not in a position to complaint against him.
This matter should be inquired at high level so that I may get justice and Branch Manager should be punished.
my full & final has been done within ten (10) working days, because branch manager help to processed this quickly.

days after that he told me .he got message form, Sr.
they required micro finance experienced person .concern person assure me he will speak to Sr. but yet nothing done after one month still i am waiting just i want to ask to Sr .authority of hdfc bank who will pay to me (Mr.aditya puri )
the fact is that i had 5 year work experienced in hdfc bank through services provider company(adfc) .in hdfc bank thousand of off role employee who works for hdfc bank there role is very important .today hdfc got name
and fame because of there hard work. these people are working on ground level they face to consumer (loan section )on role employee only supervise them.and snub them. also they are very arrogant towers the adfc hbl employee service provider company..honorable Mr.Aditya Puri please take a look at this situation otherwise it will be very dangerous for the coming future.

Worst bank with worst policy...Their employees are loafer talking like hell...To hell with you HDFC bank...Guys this bank fools people by offering credit card and once you used to it they start adding charges and charges and when you are unable to pay the amount only for one month their executive call you like you have [censored]d them...

No training about how to deal with customer just talking like a S****t who wants money...

I was a Branch Manager in North Bengal in the District of Jalpaiguri, under Cluster Manager Mr Joydip Ghosh,
Where in my Father was diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer, and unfortunatly I was not granted a leave for the same treatment to carry forward,
On the other hand Bank HR got me transferred to a near location on compassionate ground, but to my horror My Cluster Manager didnot release me for the transfer,
Being the only child I had to Leave the Job, Unfortunately after a span of one Year now they are disagreeing to take me back for any Location,
According to Information gathered Mr Joydip Ghosh is giving a negative feedback all the time due to unknown reason
Recently opened a joint NRO account with HDFC. My wife the joint account holder has received her account detail whereas I the primary account holder am still waiting for my info. Numerous messages to the bank get the standard non-response...contact customer support. The initial deposit check has been cashed by the bank but still not credited to my account.

Needless to say their customer service sucks. I researched a little to find a bank I could rely on to transfer huge amounts of money coming to me soon and thought this was a good bank to rely upon...big mistake. I am now opening an account with Capital One and Citi both, I hope they offer better service than HDFC. I will be closing this account once they finally have my account figured out.

one of the worst things that the bank does is make the life of managers also difficult. we have been asked to force work out of relationship managers and such junior staff. the bank does not believe that junior staff (like us, managers) might actually work much better if treated well and appreciated. extraction of money from customers by selling them false products (first selling it to the staff themselves!) and extraction of max labour from junior staff is visible harassment. what happens to the middle rung is interesting. they just start harassing you and rating you very low after you turn 40 (unless you are ready to promote yourselves into the wolves' gang). you become obsolete since you are no more selling as aggressively as you were at 20.you are asked to resign after one year of torture. This is common. It is so strange that banks like HDFC does not have labour unions.
HDFC bank is bad with their employee. They treat me badly . In 9 hours shift bank not gives me break for eat food and rest.

I am an ex-employee of HDFC BANK PVT LTD.I was working with DVU DEPT and CPU DEPT AS "AM"located at andheri-east, chandivali, titanic building.The staff working there were told not to entertain any new joinees ...My first day was terrible as i had no one to talk to me, Even to tell me my dept, and no friends to go for lunch.I was told that i should go for lunch alone everyday an even work.I agree, that we were informed during interview that we might have to work extra hours, and will have to work on sundays also but we were not informed that we will get no compensation off. for working on sundays and no bank holidays.On my third of my job i was given target to complete 1000 forms to be authorised..i did more than that by 5pm, BUT i was make to sit more two hours tilll 7.pm even after completing my target, which menas that we have no target as such we have to sit and work forcefully till 8.pm which is rediculous.We get only 1 holiday in a month and that is one sat off.I personally think that HDFC bank's senior's should have their own responsibility towards employees, becz employees have their own personal life as well.All the senior's are already aware of this situation but no improvement.Even the girls working there are not secured as some of the boys staff are very unprofessional and always tease the female employees making the working enviornment dirty.
The worst bank in terms employee satisfaction, and treatment of employees!! Barbaric, inhuman, callous and unprofessional to the core right from the top. The culture is so dirty, the quality of supervisors so pathetic, its torture all the way for anyone worthy of being called a human being. HDFC Bank can have the unique distinction of ruining the careers of thousands of its own employees by not offering them any training and making them work like slaves under supervisors who are just like the nazi death camp supervisors, with no trace of humanity left, always looking for self aggrandisement by misselling and misguiding customers and illtreating junior staff members. If you dont missell, and misguide, you are not fit to work for the bank. The entire top management are a bunch of big losers with such a heavy load of bad karma on them, that it will take millions of births for them to redeem themselves. They are lost in the orgasm of 30% yoy profit-fraud being perpetrated on the public and customers. Just imagine, when the industry is growing at 15-20%, HDFC Bank Ltd makes money out of money at 30%, what a superlative performance!!! What is the customer left with? Nothing, he does not even realise that he has lost his underclothes, as he was being stripped while being massaged with hot lies and promises! And what does the regulator's like Rbi, IRDA and others do; nothing but aid, abett and encourage such corrupt practices in the name of competition and globalization. Its the biggest organised rip-off being conducted with the express consent of the regulators and the government, with the media, both electronic and print completely brought out by the Corporate communications department of the bank. What a shame and what a utter disgrace to this country of a billion people that there is no one to react to this gross injustice in the name of private banking. The whole structure works like an MLM ponzi scheme with the top guys being disproportionately rewarded with stock options and all kinds of fancy inducements while the bottom level employee upto the middle level works in sweat shop like conditions, encouraged by threats and fear psychosis, with negative reinforcement being the only strategy managers know since the top man believes only in "mujhe laddoo khilao, kaise bhi, kidar se bhi lao, mar ke, chori karke, tod-pod karke, lekin zaroor lao, only laddoos dipped in "shuddh profit ghee" for me please". Many a time, memos are the employee's only reward for working nothing less than 12-14 hrs a day, and that too for refusing to mis-sell toxic insurance products to hapless ignorant customers so that the top guy can enjoy his laddoo! Hes made 500 crores of fortune and still nobody gives a damn about him. What a paradox. But its a nice way to make money! Wow what an achievement. The MD goes home at 5 PM and gets a massage while the rest of the employees work their butts off till 12 AM in the night, what a winning formula!! And the MD is lauded by the self serving media for being very employee friendly and professional to the core. If the HDFC HR has an iota of what is called self-respect, they must introspect as to what kind of a monster they have built in the name of an orgnisation. The ultimate profit machine of course, but without a trace of human dignity and decency anywhere! The gestapo and the nazis were far charitable and better off than the HDFC top brass. They have the gall to go to the press every year and trumpet their numbers and the journalists, who listen to them lap their muck like ice cream and does not ask any of the uncomfortable questions that needs to be asked for the sake of humanity. With new hire 1 year attrition at 50%, 2 year old attrition at 100% and overall attrition hovering around 25%, none of the top guys are ever questioned, or even given a reprimand. They are all rewarded with 'stock options' and trips to Banghok. Their collective intelligence is so refined that they are suited only for "pattaya" trips to have their brains "sandwiched" so that they can savour their ill gotten gains with gusto!. What a bunch of sheer "losers". One can go on and on but the only defence in its favour is that the bank is only 18 years old and can only behave like an 18 year old teenager with a rich dad can; spoilt, arrogant, callous, insensitive, disrespectful and downright condescending, to everyone around except dad(HDFC Ltd) and mom(RBI) and ayah (IRDA), wah, what a show!!!
In HDFC Bank not any rules followup by HR and others to employee's, in this bank yours reporting manager is only MD of the bank. no any one ready to take pen.

Adding to this let me bring this to the notice of Mr Aditya Puri, that not only employees are harassed they are being forced to resign from there services by putting undue work pressure. i am one of the customer of HDFC bank and my own personal banker have being forced to resign, he is such a good employee but no courtesy for such a poor employee . Now he is jobless but as a good customer i have promised him that i will move all my staff members A/c from HDFC bank to that bank where ever he will be joining But for HDFC its a shame i fell petty for HDFC Bank. worst bank i have ever seen in my life .
Not only This that fellow did not even received his last month salary. i don't know how this bank is being given license to operate, what our labor department/law is doing.
The concerned person if you have shame while sleeping in an AC room please think about these people also who do not have even bread to eat.

This a & pathetic bank ever I saw in my life especially the collection people are street beggars they talk & pathetic language I suggest Hdfc bank should them give them a little bit training how to talk with the customer as domestic collection staff is came a pathetic background so they don't know English Atleast bank should train them how to talk with the customer if I were in united state I would have sueee this bank against collection people pathetic service
It seems that the situations are same everywhere in HDFCbank and top management has closed their eyes. The day is not far when the employees will take up the matter with Labour ministary and MD of the Bank will be repenting after seeing the losses of the bank due to non cooperation by the employees and not seeing the tough life of employees.
Same thing is happening in Vashi Sec-17 branch.
hi, i would say that the top management of the HDFC bank (the BBHs and above) might not be really against the welfare of their staff as they have recently started the culture of 5:30 closure time for branches, So rather its the some of the immature BMs and a few CHs who are not mature enough handling staff.Now BMs run the branches as if its their Lala shop, as its ok if they reach the branch at 11:00am or sometimes 12pm, as they have some family issues to look after etc etc but if any of their staff comes late when he or she is not well then they are not allowed, their lives would be made miserable by the BM,

Now their have been many instances where in the branch manager leaves the branch saying that he is going to his CH/boss for a review, but minutes later he is seen in a mall shopping .this is the kind of BMs that HDFC bank has.

If a staff does some mistake while dealing with customer, then the BM has every right to shout at the top of his voice in front of the customer, scolding, humiliating the branch staff for his misdeed.Now may i ask if at one side the management asks the staff to greet every customer with a namaste with folded hands and then the customer sees this behavior from the BMs then its really demeaning for the Management, and the bank as a whole.

I would still say that this behavior is not rampant across all branches, as their are some excellent BMs also who treat their employees with utmost respect, and thus they instead of demanding respect, they command respect from the staff. and the staff is more than happy to achieve all the targets set by the BM.this is true to all the bigger branches of delhi region, like suryakiran, ORN etc.So the problem is probably peculiar to the small branches who have Sr.Managers and A.V, P manning these branches

So i guess its for the respective BBhs to either ignore these complaints and let the region function as it is, or take some corrective actions, like feedbacks and complaints redressal for the staff of the branches wherein the staff could remain anonymous for the fear of losing his job at the hands of the BM .
I am Not mentioning my name in the mail but friends HDFC bank is not a Bad bank for employees but it is the worst bank to work In Rajasthan Circle.The dissatisfaction to work in this area is only because of the lobbying done by certain CHs and Honble Circle Head.The internal Politics betwwen the staff is very High.

In hindi you can say that there are lots of Kaan Ke Kacche peoples in HDFC Rajasthan.

Mr Puri all the balnce sheets are because of the staffs specially the staffs who had proved their potential and Metal.Not these Bloody CHS and Circle heads if you have still to review then review the staffs who had either resigned or asked to go for various reasons.These staffs are rated 1 or 2 in their past ratings.
This is absolutely right, my husband is also working with HDFC bank from the last 3 years, earlier everything was fine but as of now as the new Branch manager comes life becomes hell. He left home in the morning at 8:15 and there is no time of coming back home that can be 10-11-12 in the night, problems didn't end here. The main problem is the pressure with Branch Manager is making on every employee, he is harassing every one for the business and forcing everyone to resign. As a branch manager he himself left the branch at 6:30 - 7:00 daily and give the target to the employee either do it or resign or he will give the quarter rating 5. And one interesting thing about the Branch Manager he himself be demoted and transfer to this branch. This is the case of North Delhi Branch. Hope the senior most authorities will take this thing in mind and take positive action against it. Hopefully in favour of the employees. As HDFC is known for it.
Incentive pending from 5 months

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am HBL employee name Kishor Tare, my id is K09215, working with Mumbai
Personal Loans Team, under ZSM Naveed Sir. I have my March months
incentive pending. Sir, i have logged 14 files one file is booked under
direct by mistake of Data Entry Team due to that i have to lose my 10000
incentive. I have logged it in branch only, then why should not i get
the incentive.

I have dropped several mails from coordinators generic id, but our ASM and ZSM have not replied a single mail.

When my Sales Manager discussed with them regarding the incentive then
they replied "why your BDR required old incentive while he is getting
incentive every month".

Month on month they claim their travelling expenses, conveyance, then why should i forget my 10000 incentive.

The ASM's and ZSM's are there to grow business and help staff or just to get the salary ??
