HDFC Bank — ECS Date

HDFC Bank is saying that every month 5th they clear the EMI by ECS. But in my Statement they cleared the ECS on 07,08,09,10,11 dates of other months.

But on 5th of Feb 2010 my cheque got bounced They charged me Rs-450.

If they are very much concern about consumers why they did not deducted my previous EMI's on 5th itself.

On 5th Feb 2010 moring my balance was Rs-1900 somthing after depositing Rs-1300 in ICICI Bank.

Is Bank have all the rights to take any decision?

I was needed Rs-1500, because my cousin for hospitalised. I had Rs-1900 balance in ICICI account. I did not withdrawn the amount because thinking that 5th is my ECS date. But that month they cleared my amount on 11th.

I got positive feedback from bank - [protected]@hdfcbank.com.
They are trying to reimburse the bouncing charges and intimate me in 4-5 days. I was also hoping the same.

I made fool by HDFC team. Over phone they assured me waived off the late payment charges and bouncing charges but still after clearing all the 36 EMI; it is showing in their system. They are not providing me the NOC and harrasing me for just 1 late payment charges and 1 bouncing charges for which I have already lodged yhe complaint in consumer complaint on June 7, 2011.

Very bad impression HDFC bank.
