[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Standard Life Insurance Company Limited — WRONG SALE, CHEATING

Hi,

I would like to invite suggestions/guidance from the Experts in insurance sector on my case,

My profile : 59 Years Government Servant Retiring this year

1.) i have been approached by a DSA of HDFC Standard Life(HDFCSL), Indira Nagar, Lucknow in march 2008 for investing in their Pension plan for which i have to pay 1, 00, 000 premium (which is going to come from my retirement benefits) annually for the three years(Lock in period) .

2) I paid first premium of 1, 00, 000 and got policy papers which mentions i have to pay 1, 00, 000 Quarterly not annually .

3) After approaching to the Branch office HDFCSL indira nagar, Lucknow. i got to know that the person who sold policy to me is left the Job and a manager ( Mr Khanna) has taken charge. After explaining the matter he told me that "your investment is done in a scheme which is discontinued on 31 March, and since i know you better so trust me you will have only to pay only 1, 00, 000 annually".

4) Then on one fine day i got a notice that my policy is lapsed due to non payment of premium, after talking to the Operation Manager Mr KHANNA and Branch head MR RAO. they again convinced me to not to panic since the investment is not in policy so no worry of lapse, YOUR MONEY In SAFE HANDS".

5) After this i have written email to HDFC to know details of my case. They told your policy is lapsed due to non payment

6) Again i have contacted the HDFCSL branch and surprised to know that Mr KHANNA also left the branch. And the assurance YOUR MONEy In SAFE HANDS".

7) On 20th march 2009 i got call from HDFCSL for discussion on my post retirement investment, i told my case and the NEW OPERATIONS MANAGER explained me that, this is the case of wrong sale and now you have to pay only 25, 000 per quarter to keep your policy active and he will be sending new policy paper soon...you just need to sign a application for reduce premium. ...from that day ...there is long salience...


I am sure the HDFCSL Indira nagar brance, have done something with my money or the First manager Mr Khanna took away my money and not invested anywhere...or they have closed my case…...please guide me which legal steps i can take to recover my investment.

Very true.
bad service. I wanted to cancel my plan and no response. I could not reach anybody neither on phone nor on email. Mr. Rahul Saxena of Delhi SJE branch has done my policy and had given his card with phone numbers and email to contact. i am tired of contacting him. email came back not received and phone does not go through.
this is a normal buisness with hdfc .they do like this only.
i lost 1 lakh. They are thiefs, ..., ...
