[Resolved]  Hindustan Lever - Pureit Water Filter — facing problem in changing battery

I have purchased a hindustan lever water filter name as "PURIT", six months back. The battery of this filter needs to be change after certain period of time. In my case the time has come to change. I called the Purit help line at the no. [protected] on 4.7.2008, they have given me a call id no. i.e.S08/KOL/[protected] and commited that the battery will be delivered at home within 48 hours. When 5 days left and no one from the company has came to change the battery, i again call up the same helpline no. with ref to the call id no. given, someone picked the phone and when I told him that the commitment not fulfilled and when can I get the battery changed the man repesenting the company has act very rudely and again commited that the battery will be delivered within 48 hours. Today is 24.07.2008 and I today again I called the customer care and again their behaviour was not good. They given me another call id no. i.e. S08/KOL/[protected] but the ultimate result is zero. I'm waiting for last 18 days but yet to get the battery changed. I have a small kid in my home and facing huge problem with drinking water. The service is so pathetic. I have taken wrong decision by purchasing purit.

When 5 days left and no one from the company has came to change the battery, i again call up the same helpline no. with ref to the call id no. given, someone picked the phone and when I told him that the commitment not fulfilled and when can I get the battery changed the man repesenting the company has act very rudely and again commited that the battery will be delivered within 48 hours. After that I again called them twice but none came for replacement. I'm waiting for last 18 days but yet to get the battery changed. The service is so pathetic. I have taken wrong decision by purchasing purit.

I have been requesting for change of Battery for Purit water filter, since 05.05.2009. I have also reminding over phone ( [protected]) and every time it was assured by them to supply within 24 hours. I am sorry to say that till date I have not received the battery even after talking to Mr.Madhusudhanan. Please arrange to supply same immediately.

I have booked a PURE-IT (burgundy colour) for my old aged parents, residing in Jhunsi Area of ALLAHABAD, through HLL's Customer Care No.:[protected], on 08.7.2009.

Your Sales Executive had called my father (on M :[protected] and was good enough to assure him that Pire-It shall be demonstrated and delivered by the same evening (08.7.09).
But my father is still waiting for that evening as neither that S.E. had come nor his call !

From 09th morning it has become part of my daily routine to Call your Cust. Care atleast twice to Check the Status, but they all gave a sterio type reply that (1) your request has been forwarded to HLL's Allahabad office, and the same shall be delivered by "today" evening.

Upon enquiring the Contct Nos. of Allahabad office, no one agreed to give me the same.

I am shocked to note such an irresponsible attitude of HLL personnel.

You must agree that there are lot many Water Purifiers are available in the market, as per affordibility of buyer's pocket, and such products are being demonstrated/sold in streets/road-side. If by chance any one visits them, they after that prospoective customer.

But, look at my Case !

Now, for me it is more important to get those Customer Care Execuitves, as well as Allahabad Office personnel punished, rather than buying Pure-It.

I shall be gratefull, if a line in reply to above complaint may be sent me from a proper desk.

I am Residing in Navi Mumbai, we have purchased Hindustan Pure it Watefilter, its Battery Has out of order so we are not able to Clean water, Please give me your Customer care no for repair this Instrument,
I have purchased a Hindustan Lever water filter by name " PURIT " on 12/06/09, after making the payment when i asked for bill the representive told me that it will be deliver to you tommrow. After that i made several calls to the Representive by name Mr. ALAM, Cell no.[protected]. Ever time i call i get a answer that it will be deliver in 2 - 3 days time. After that my filter battery got exhausted before time ie 13/08/09. As i didn't had a invoice i didnt know my customer ID reference. I called the same executive to remind about my invoice and then he came personally to deliver the invoice and asked me to logged the complaint about battery to customer care. My customer ID no. [protected] and device no.RPM[protected].

I called customer care on 17/08/09 and i was told that there expert will visit my place and analyse the cause of the problem and replace it free of cost. On 19/08/09 i again called customer care enquring about my un attended complaint, i got the same reply your complant will be attain within 48 hrs.

After that I again called them twice but none came for replacement. I'm waiting for last 10 days but yet to get the battery changed. The service is so pathetic. I have taken wrong decision by purchasing purit.

I sincerly request all my Indian friends, never think of purchasing Hindustan Lever Purit water filter.

I am a very unsatisfied customer of your product ‘PUREIT’. I dont understnd why that though the product is outsourced why the company is not taking responsibility to ensure that the product is going on fine or check whether there would be any grievances addressed? Such a reputed company should not act so petty. Every brochure you give, should have your addresses to which the customer can rely on solidly. But Pureit does not have such. We had bought pureit and we were satisfied of the performance. But when the battery ran out and we wanted to refill it noone were ready to help out neither the franchised company nor the customer service good for nothing people. Now our so called water purifier lies like a moument in our home. If someone could contact us from Hindustan Unilever to address the problem within 3 days we would leave this issue. Else, already we do not recommend this when my friends or anyone ask to buy. But now we would file case in consumer court, write to papers and print posters and make ‘DARNAS’ in your outlets. We are tired of registering in your worthless call center and we are extremely dissatified with this issue. My number is 0 [protected]. So it can't filter water properly and takes a long time. So, plese help me to come out of the problem. I want to know whether I can get some extra micro fibre mesh or not .Please help me.

I HAVE ALSO BOUGHT TWO UNITS OF PURIT WATER FILTER. THE OFFICIAL RAVI GUPTA [protected] WHO SOLD AND TOOK THE AMOUNT FROM ME IS NOT HELPING REGARDING SERVICE ANYMORE. THE UNIT IS HARDLY 2 MONTHS OLD. IT SEEMS HINDUSTAN IS NOT INTERESTED IN PROVIDING ANY SERVICE SUPPORT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY DONT HAVE ANY BACK UP SUPPORT. THE REMOTE CUSTOMER HELPLINE IS CLUELESS ABOUT SOLUTION. IT SEEMS EVERYTHING IS OUTSOURCED SO THAT ESCAPING HARRASSED CUSTOMER IS EASY.

Why should we buy a product if post purchase support cannot be provided. I am going to throw out my purit system and put a case in the consumer court for the false promises of the hindustan unilever. I made an order for purite battery on 05/05/2010 and today is 09/05/2010. I called up the help line 4 times. Always the flase promises "Sorry for the inconvenience and we will deliver the battery in 24 hrous". My battery level is showing red. I cannot drink from the purifier. If any body can help me. tell me . I wanto sue this company for not providing appropriate support after sale.
I am planning to purchase a purit Purifier ... seeing those comment, I think its better to go for any other purifier..

I am now confuged after going through the above. Such a reputed company is delibarately ignoring genuine comlaints is a matter of great concern. If they can't provide swift post service to the customer, they should stop selling the product. They can't simply betray and risk their customer
In India every thing is possible because these companies have no problem to purchase their products.As most of the people are very far from IT and they have no knowledge that what is going on with such product.In other hand most of the customer care staff are just high school passed boys and girls they are not sincere about our health issues. Also our government is a very simple and poor govt.they don't pay any attention towards the products that which kinds of products are running in the country. Are they authorized or not? Are these products are fully approved by Medical council of India or not etc...there are lots of food stuffs we have in market which are non Hygienic but nobody comes to check them...They are just collecting revenue.oh India when the day will come when i will see that really you developed!!! Look China, Malaysia, Philippines, Iran... How nicely they are developing.

very poor and worst service from your coimbatore pureit company side as you said in your advertisment there is a free demo for your product but unfortunate there is nothing like that because i booked 15/9/2012 til date there is no free demo done for me about to that the person said that there is no demo and only sales of the product even i placed the order till date the product has not reached to me. So i decided to buy other product and i never expected such a worst service from your organisattion especially from coimbatore branch
