I have bought a five-star window AC being model number RAV518ERD on 10 April 2011 from Fairdeal Electronics (Raja puri) Near DWARKA New Delhi. Just above one months of installation the Air Conditioner has stopped working. A complaint with this respect was lodged within customer care on 17 may 2011 Vide complaint number[protected]. On the 18th morning I again followed up with customer care and requested to attend to the fault urgently. I was assured that the complaint will be rectified and attended to within 48 hours of its lodging. Further on request you customer care provided me the telephone number of Mr. Shiv Kumar Rajput, who I was told to be the service head. But to my utter dismay I keep calling on the number provided i.e.[protected] the entire day but nobody responded.
I again called up on 19 may to know the status of my complaint but to my surprise Mr. Chirag who attended the call informed that in normal circumstances only the complaints are attended within 48 hours and there is no definite turnaround time to attend to the complaints. Further he was rude and absolutely unfriendly and further refused to give any contact number or e-mail of any senior person in Hitachi so that I can follow up with them directly.
The product which develops non-functionality within two months of its purchase is deemed to have a manufacturing defect and further the officials attitude and adamant in non-attending the complaint within warranty period is unfair trade practice. Was this information helpful? |
