[Resolved]  HP Compaq Presario V3000 - 342av — motherboard & AMD processor having problem

my younger sis purchased a hp compaq presario v3000-342av, serial no. 2ce7260clt on 31/8/2007. this notebook is creating a lot of problem, the AMD processor that you have provided with this notebook is of no use, all the time it gets hanged & gets heated up within minutes. due to this the motherboard also suffers and now is totally gone.
when we went to one of your service centers in haldwani( uttarakhand, india), your service personal said that he will get it repaired but there is no guarantee that it will work properly and asked us to buy a new one rather than getting this one repaired.
sir with due respect i just wanted to know that if your company can't provide the service to customers then why have you installed so many service centers in the whole country.
i just want you guys to tell me what should i do? i am really fed up with this product of yours. kindly reply me as soon as possible.

Feedback: hi, my proble is i bought compaq presario V3228AU, and i used it only 2 months then some weird problem oquerred, and i have it for reapair to da campaq service center in Delhi india and still been 3 months they couldnt feguer out da problems and giving me fake excuses.. and so far i leant they just bullinn around me all da tim,e. and i already lost da good will and the heart about compaq deu to this Delhi service center and still it havent fixed yet . i[censored] could give me chance i can send ur pics regarding my laptop , and i realy appreciate i[censored] can look forword about this complain coz, i already lost my faith on ur company due ur service center pearsons..

Compaq laptop — Poor After sales service of Compaq Laptops


I have purchased Compq lap top almost 1and half month back and it's USB ports are not working .
I was told that It will be removed with in 4 working dates and today on 31th Jul 2008 it's almos 15 days and I haven't got the solution of my problem and they are saying for more 15 days.
Now tell me what to do?
Should I go against the company ?
Should I sujjest not to buy your company's product ?

i brought laptop just a 6 months before, a couple of months before there was a sound drive problem after paying 300 it was ok ...after that it was working proper..then the new issue the power is on but doesn't diplay...i given to the service centre o Hp in pune a couple of weeks before but it is not yet done. There service is so so poor & hopeless. whenever i call to know the status of my laptop they are giving excuses.

HP Presario V3000 Laptop — General problem with this product

I have purchased HP presario V3000 Laptop in Feb 2007. After one year ie. in may 2008 it started giving problem of booting and display and not It has completely stopped working even if it was repaired twice. According to repairing engineer, motherboard change will solve problem temperorily but not permanently as it will start giving same problem after some time.This is general problem faced by most of the consumers of this product (model). HP should replace all Laptops of this model sold to consumers in market.

I am experiencing the same problem with my system. I just wonder the quality sense of the company and it's approach to the most valuable customers. In my opinion the loss of the company have to pay a heavy price for their strategy and the loss of the individual customer will be nothing at the end and I hope the company will take these facts if they wish to survive this competitive business.

I appreciate if I get an opportunity to hear further from you.
I have the same problem with my compaq presario v3000 with fedup.i just gave it for repair the 4th time in 2 months for mother board replacement.It stopped working the next day after my 1 yr warranty expired.hows that for timing??!!
Well u r better off than me.its been more than one month since i gave my laptop.(problem:Physical dump memory) They have been talking gibberish since.I reckon its because my laptop lies in the warranty period.Any suggestion?

HP Compaq Laptop — Motherboard replacement

I have been using V6000 series laptop since last 2 &half years and few months ago i got my warranty extended than as usual my laptop needed some attention hence I gave it to HP service Center!!!

Its been more than 2 months and still that laptop is not working as they motherboard is not available and at my surprise in all four warehouse of india they do not have replacement available... now thats really very difficult to understand... there is no response from any damm number of HP as they keep on giving new number everynow and than...

Please help me if anyone has gone through the same pain earlier...
Yes i agree with you, I have compaq since 1.5 yrs due to its display failure I have given the m/c to service center. But since last 3 months I am not getting the m/c for the reason of " PART NOT AVAILABLE ",

I fail to understand that HP can't make available the part in 90 days, Have they closed the sale ? No, that means just they are not caring for the customer
As the screen was not coming in my compaq c3228 au laptop i have given that for replacement under warrany 15 days are over and now also the part is not available.
And the same part was replaced 15 days before, if this is the replacement service that why do they replace, Half time of the gurantee period, the laptop is in service center .


This is very true, this particular model from HP has serious problem very now and then. Even after so many complaints are coming, company is still selling those version in market. So customer's pocket is getting affected but in the end Company will get a kick for this! Enough of hell of services are being done and now we as customer needs to raise voice and make them to listen our problems.

V3000 compaq laptop — Mother board

I had bought compaq V3000 laptop in year 2007, march and after around one year from the date of purchase i am facing lot of problems with it. As it has AMD processor, its mother board is giving lot of problems. I got the mother board replaced thrice under the company's scheme for AMD processors, which is valid for me till 8th march 2009 only. I had the worst experience of purchasing COMPAQ laptop and would recommend everyone i know never to buy COMPAQ laptops. So please let me know what i am suppose to do because the company's scheme under which they replace the AMD mother board for free is worthless as it again stops working after few days.
I'm struggling with my Presario V3000 for months. First..very hard to start working, sometimes it is working sometimes not. Now I have my laptop totally dead. As far I can see there is not even boot, so must be a motherboard’s problem. How long I have my laptopn?...barely one year…Is no serious to lie the people this way….Presario V3000 is a very bad product.
I am using laptops for the past 7 years, prior to this they were all thinkpads from IBM never had an issue so did not go for the extended warranty for my Compaq Pressario V3029 AU. Never anticipated product quality like this from HP.
For the past two years I am using V3000 notebook. Last week it had gone completely blank, the display was not there. The service guy told me that the motherboard is dead, and I have to buy a new one for 16k. I have found out all over the net this problem is very common for the V3000 series Compaq pressario notebooks. Make substandard products, hire Shah Rukh Khan or any superstar to promote, and voila you have like me buying it. Just to realize after two years that your 43k notebook is dead, spend another 16k just to revive it. Keep on doing the same thing HP, and you will have great market share in the future.

My suggestion to prospective buyers, dont waste your money on HP & Compaq products, go do some research on the net and buy something that is stable, reliable and from a company with right business mindset not from someone who wants to sell a substandard product just to earn quick bucks in after sales & services.

Compaq — amd processor

i use my laptop for 4 to 6 hrs and in every 2 months my processer is over heated and memory board also gets ruined

HP-Compaq V3000 Series Laptops — Motherboard is under-graded & bad quality

I had bought a Compaq V3000 Series Laptop. It had one year gaurantee. Now this laptop is two years old and suddenly one its crashed down. I took it to the HP Service Center as Compaq has been taken over by HP. The engineer at service center is saying that this is the problem of this particular model and only thing that can be done here is to sell this laptop for Rs. 5000/- to them as this motherboard is problematic and cannot be rectified. Thousands of people have come across this problem and had to just simply throw away their laptops which they bought for Rs. 35000/- odd. Can this be continued???

HP/Compaq — Battery Issue

i gave my laptop(Compaq V3780) to RT Outsourcing Services, Jaipur on 11th of april. The issue was battery backup. Around 18th they called me and asked me to take backup of laptop as they want to take some recovery.i took the backup nd gave them back the laptop on 23rd. After some days they called me and told me the software is showing battery replace but some report is nt showing so they cant change the battery. I went their and had a word with them they told they will put the case with HP nd gave me a case ID.After that i tried contacting them but they didnt responded well.They always tell they will give me a call in 5mins and they never calls back. Then i called Customer Support and asked them the status on 30th, they told battery has been ordered. Today when i called Customer Support they told me the case is closed and the explanation given their is they tried calling me but i didnt picked the call. This never happened.They lied. I was the 1 who was calling them but they never responded. I am fed up. it seems i need to take some legal step. i m left wid no options.What to do? Such a bad service. Never expected such a bad service from HP. Pahetic service.More Over my warranty ended on 30th April. What should i do now. My laptop is still with the service center. tehy still saying they r working on it.
