[Resolved]  HP Compaq Presario V3000 - 342av — motherboard & AMD processor having problem

sir,
my younger sis purchased a hp compaq presario v3000-342av, serial no. 2ce7260clt on 31/8/2007. this notebook is creating a lot of problem, the AMD processor that you have provided with this notebook is of no use, all the time it gets hanged & gets heated up within minutes. due to this the motherboard also suffers and now is totally gone.
when we went to one of your service centers in haldwani( uttarakhand, india), your service personal said that he will get it repaired but there is no guarantee that it will work properly and asked us to buy a new one rather than getting this one repaired.
sir with due respect i just wanted to know that if your company can't provide the service to customers then why have you installed so many service centers in the whole country.
i just want you guys to tell me what should i do? i am really fed up with this product of yours. kindly reply me as soon as possible.

COMPAQ HP PRESARIO — MARK ON SCREEN

THERE IS MARK / SPOT ON MY LAPTOP SCREEN . THIS WAS ADDDRESSED TO COMPAQ HP SERVICE CENTER (AND TO THE DEALER - CYBORG WORLD)AND THEY REFUSED TO CHANGE THE SCREEN.
I GUESS THERE IS NOT MY MISTAKE IF SUCH THING HAPPENS TO THE SCREEN. MY LAPTOP IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY .
I hav the same problem and i am fed up with, these asses and need comphensation i own presario v3155au and got it done atlest 5 times screw these bloddy people my uncle is judge in consumer court and m gonna file a case against hp if i dont get any response .

HP laptop Motherboard problem — motherboard problem

Hi All,
I am also faving the same problem in my Laptop motherboard. I went to HP service center and they charged me Rs 12500 for the replacement of the motherboard and gave me the warranty for three months. but after three months again the same problem appears and they told me that I have to pay again for that. I adont know what is going all like this. HP is not providing the extended warranty also and its creating the huge problem in my day to day life. Can anyone please guide me why HP has stopped providing the extended warranty on the laptops.

Presario V3000 - black screen problem.
Yes I have tried the `function` button etc to ensure the screen is turned on.
I have also tried an external monitor which works fine on my non-compaq laptop.
The external monitor cannot see that it has been plugged into the V3000 so there is nothing coming out of the V3000 to the external monitor.
I have done the standard tests (battery/ac disconnected, power button down for 6+ seconds, removed and reinstalled the memory etc) - to no avail.
WHY IS COMPAQ selling a fundamentally defective product when it knows it is such - a waste of money.
Having contacted compaq regarding a free repair, guess what they said - NO.
Never again will I touch Compaq or HP.
Maybe if Compaq read these things they will realise that they should do something about the problem - especially for existing users like me who will go elsewhere.
Does Compaq have a corporate death-wish?
I do fully agree with the compaints for compaq presario. I had Compaq presario V3424AU model with AMD Turion processor and NVIDIA graphics. within 8 months I faced problem with sound (lost). Engineers caould not do anything to this for around 1 months of my visi to the servicecentre. Finally they formatted my system, which I suggetsed. I do not not why company has kept such handicapped engineers. Is it doing mercy to the customers with these engineers? Afetr one year, display of my laptop gone to extent that the motherboard is out of order now. Whn I visited service centre at Sakinaka, Mumbai the engineer without cheking anything told me to put quotation for motherbaord (cost around 10, 000 INR) for this model. On asking he even told that it is not guaranteed that it will not show any problem in future as it has 3 months warranty. After listening this I didn't have gut to go for new motherboard with same configuration. In summary, I lost my laptop completely after 1 and half year. What is the point of making such a configuration? Simply Company does not care for the customers and in fact it is a cheater.

Compaq — Bad Quality

I had purchased a Compaq CQ40 730 TU Laptop on 28th of March 2010 from

I was very happy that day as I thought that I am a proud owner of Compaq Laptop, a brand that has created its own niche by the Quality and Service provided to its customers only to get shocked in utter dismay.

After only 25 days of the purchase, today I think that I had committed a big mistake by choosing the brand HP/Compaq.

The trouble had started after the technician had installed the operating system on 29th of March 2010, during any file transfer or any operation that incurs HDD read was getting hanged. Firstly I shouted at the technician and made him to rush to my house and install a different operating system on 23/04/2010 (I had waited this long to actually see how the system responds). But to my utter shock the system responded as it was doing previously.


NOW THE WORST SHOCKING STORY IS THAT JUST AFTER 22 DAYS OF BUYING A BRAND NEW LAPTOP ON FULL PAYMENT I HAD TO RUSH TO THE HP SERVICE CENTER. AT Vikas Building, 1st Floor, Loudon Street, Kolkata – 700016 on 24th April 2010 on advice of “Khosla Electronics” to actually discover what is wrong with my new laptop.

They received the laptop, noted all the necessary details and advised me that I would be notified on Monday with the status. I do agree the I had received a sms with : -

“Dear MR. Paul, REF : [protected], Thanks for contacting HP. Your case is considered on priority. HDD Ordered. Kindly wait for further sms/ph update”

Wow, it feels great to see that I had bought a laptop with a faulty HDD Drive. And also when this sort of massive change is going to happen I at least expected to receive a call from the Service Center explaining the issue. But lastly I had TO OBLIGE MYSELF BYcalling the cust. Care to get the update
that THE HDD IS OUT OF STOCK AND HAD BEEN ORDERED AND IT WILL TAKE ANOTHER ODD 7 TO 8 DAYS TO GET MY REPAIRED LAPTOP BACK.

IS THIS THE PRODUCT QUALITY THAT I HAD EXPECTED FROM COMPAQ?

FURTHER WHEN I HAD CONTACTED THE SERVICE CENTER WASN’T IT THEIR DUTY TO PROCESS THIS REQUEST URGENTLY AS THIS IS ONLY A 25 DAY OLD LAPTOP.

Now if I Ask Compaq for a product replacement will they do it ????? I am sure they wouldn’t.

LASTLY I WOULD LIKE TO THANK HP/COMPAQ AND THEIR ASSOCIATES FOR THEIR ENDLESS SUPPORT IN THE PROCESS OF LOOSING MY TRUST ON THIS BRAND. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY EXPECT TO GET REWARDING WORST SERVICES OFFERED BY THE BRAND HEREONWARDS IN KEEPING MY FAITH FROM THIS RENOWNED BRAND.

I have submitted this laptop atleast 3 times to service center for motherboard problem.When last time submitted to center that time engineer told motherboard problem and when i went to receive that time told now motherboard has been changed but processor problem.
Thats why i want a written note or Mail copy from you, , , , That your processor is defected, not working.So i Know that now finally processor problem.And then i can Complain to AMD...THAT...ur processor is not working.Just check it and replace me a new processor.
So kindly look into the matter and Reply me as early as possible.
i bought my compaq v3000 in nov 2008..recently it just stopped working..service person says there is a hole in the motherboard and i need to get it replaced..anybody has any idea about such problem..and can anybody tell me the proper cost of motherboard coz the service person is saying the original one is for 12000..
I have done a great mistake by purchasing compaq v3000. Itz torturing me a lot. i have spend lots of money repairing my laptop, i'm a student how can i afford to spend my money evrytimeonly on laptop, i have better things to do also.now my laptop is heating very fast when ever i connect to internet, i can ever cook my rice with that heat. Neither company nor customer care's gona help us to resolve our problem they want only money. Guys all i can say is HP sucx.
HP products are and HP customer service is even [censored]ier. Mine is V3000, firstly the the adapter burnt out and the customer service made me run pillar to pole before i cud get a warranty replacement. Their national warranty is all bull crap, they tried to delay me as much so that the warranty period expires. Now its barely 2 years down the line the same no display problem. Service center says mother board has to be replaced for 10k. I dont have very pleasant experience with their workstations and desktop PCs either. People HP is out of my purchase list for ever . Now am trying to rip open the laptop and cannibalize the left overs and make it into a low budget desktop. If am successful i will post it here ...Oh and i forgot to mention the HP guys even took of my comments from their site forum... shameless...###$%. Moral of the story/ never get a HP product even for freee.

I wish to inform you that a laptop Model No. V3000 wide was purchased by me before 2 years.After 2 years i found that the there was no display, when i went service center in Anna Nagar chennai, they told me the to pay Rs 10000/- to change the mother board and the warranty only 3 months after that ...? . I heard that the V3000 as big problem regarding the VGA card problem, so, the company withdrawn this products. what happen to the customers who brought this product they must thrown it in the sea.
I will never inform regarding any product of hp deals. Such a low class product the company sell

HP — HP Monitor (20" Monitor), Dead in 8 months

HP Monitor (HP 2009f) purchased as a package with HP Pavilion P6373IN is dead within 8 months of purchasing.

Complaint lodged with HP service on 16/11/10, attended on 18/11/10, till date (18/12/10), they have no clue that they donot have a stock of the monitor.

Everytime a call is made to customer serivce, standard answer, SORRY NO STOCK, DONT KNOW WHEN IT WOULD COME.

For heavens sake, as a customer no one asking them to provide us with a monitor made of platinum where they would have to dig it out from earth & ship it to us.

HOPELESS SERVICE, BETTER OFF BUYING AN ASSEMBLED COMPUTER ATLEADT THAT WAY YOU WOULD HAVE THE REPLACEMENT NEXT DAY.

By the customers force I sale out one model to him & now He facing the same problem.

on behalf of my customer,
i am lodging this complain, he had the same problem with compaq presario v3000
AMD model, since
he is from a middle class family and cannot buy a laptop every time
now an then and more over a student,
there is a need to replace the motherboard,
which means half the cost of the laptop.
the warranty had finished and finally
its dead now...

i also faced same kind of problem. the service center authority have only one solution to all the problem for every problem replace the motherboard which cost around 13k or more plus their service charges and this and that charges which make a sum of rs around 20k. still there is no gaurantee whether the problem will be solved or not

The service centre people took the service charge as usual and told the probs.
Didnt expect this from reputed company like yours
still hope u wil revive my dead laptop.

i purchased compaq v3ooo in the year of 27/4/2007 first half an year is work very much fine no problem any . then its started display problem . one day was fully stuck no display in lap. so i went for service center they me they repair free of cast and they repaired also . after one month again same problem . then second time serivec center agent told me that this time u have to pay for ur motherboard . then they told to me u have to pay 12-14 bug. so i dint agree for that then i said i will only 8k so they ready to repair my lap and they repaired also nw its working good till 22/4/2011
