HSBC Bank — HSBC GOLD CREDIT CARD

Dear Sir,

I am Sumit Gupta, and I am having a HSBC GOLD CREDIT CARD with me since July 08. I had also applied for an Add-on card for my wife at the same time. i received both the cards on time.

On October 03, 2008 I was admitted in MAX HOSPITAL, Sec-19, NOIDA since I was suffering from VIRAL MYOSITIS, a disease due to which I had lost my muscle strenght of the entire body for a couple of days. I also have a discharge summary to support my statment. When I received my CC statement for the period Oct 04 - Nov 03, 2008 I saw that there were so many transactions done on my card on Oct 04, 2008 while I was still in hospital. All the transactions starting from Oct 04, 2008 till Nov 10, 2008 have been done online for purchasing something as the transactions are in USD and not in INR. I have been complaining to HSBC for such a long time now and till date I have not received any fruitful revert from anyone at all. After sending emails to the top people in HSBC, finally my complaint was registered and a reference number is given to me:[protected].

But now I am receiving calls from the collection agents of HSBC on daily basis from the following numbers:

I am been harassed now as the agents are now threatening me and my wife that if I do not pay my credit card balance immediately then they would send the recovery agent at my place and I will have to face the consequences. If this is the way HSBC treats its customers & I have no option left with me. I will be filing a case against HSBC very soon of harassment and threatening calls in the CONSUMER COURT OF INDIA.

I do not know when my case will be solved but I would like to request each one of you to not to apply for any sort of Credit Card with HSBC INDIA.

Hi,

I would like to know more about the process to lodge the complain to higher authority as I am also receiving calls from the collection agents of HSBC on daily basis from the following numbers:

They some times make the miss calls or just speak for 30 secs n disconnect the call.Eventhough i have called up HSBC Customer care number and updated them about such unwanted calls but it seems they are not intersted in taking any action on such compains.

All above are true and in my opinion there law is only on papers. Knowing the facts, RBI & Govt. authorities are knowingly sleeping to take immediate action against these Foreign Banks like HSBC.
