[Resolved]  HSBC Bank Credit Card — Threatening for recovery o[censored]njustified dues

I had a phone call received from HSBC Credit Card representative Mr. Deepak Kumar (Phone No.[protected] on 12/11/2009 around 12.50 PM and instructed to clear my dues in my HSBC credit card. I tried to make him understand that I have received a mail from HSBC regarding my disputed charges in my card but he could not understand it and forced me to make such payment and lastly threatned me using abusive words. Ultimately he threatned me that he would send 5-6 people to my residence and collect my disputed payment using muscle power.

The original fact was happened on 28/02/2009. I had got a phone from HSBC customer care on that date by informing about their Card Protection Plan (CPP) but I was not interested about that and the said person convinced me by telling that some document would be sent at my address and after confirming from my side they shall debit some amount (I have forgotton that amount). But till date I have not received any document in regard of said card but they have debited the charges and claiming Rs.2230.62.

Please advice me at the earliest.

I havent received any credit card statement since 1 year then how would i know that there is some pending amount in this card. The Legal Advisors of the bank are calling and harassing me. Please Note the No.[protected]. This person is claiming himself to be a legal advisor of the bank and by nature he is threatening me. As per him the bank has tried to contact me but they couldnt reach me. Then how come this legal advisor has got the contact no of mine. I have even asked him to call me from his landline no but he is saying its his wish he is calling from his mobile. HSBC is the worst bank I have ever come across. Please take this as a personal complaint from me and take some strict actions against these kind o[censored]nethical activities. I havent changed my Address & Mail address since the time i took the card. But they claim that I havent updated my address. My question is why should i update my address if i have not changed one? and if the bank has really tried to contact me then why didnt i receive any mail correspondence from them? Pls do the needful.

Dear Sir,

REF: HSBC Credit card No.[protected]
SUB: Closure of the above card

With reference to the above, I have been already decided not to use the card, it was informed to your customer care also for that they have asked me to retain the card for some time but I am still getting the monthly statement without any rectification. There was a dispute on my card which bank has lost my cheque issued for my last but one transaction and asked me to issue a fresh cheque, which I issued a fresh cheque along with my last purchase and for that you have added interest and late payment charges also which I refused to pay.

At that time I called your customer service and they said they would reverse the same and they have not done for more than one year and asked me to pay Rs.1100/- now. In between there were lot of communication between your customer service and me regarding the same.

Kindly go through my full transaction with HSBC which I never did a late payment and payment would be on or before date itself. I have been informed that I am a reputed client for HSBC several times based on my transactions and given me some privileges.

Kindly take the necessary steps to correct the same. I have enclosed my cut card along with this letter and arrange me to get the reward point’s gift for the same. Kindly go through my entire transactions if I need to pay anything which I have purchased I am ready to pay the same without any late payment and interest. Kindly give me a clear account statement for last 5 transactions and payment which I had done.

HSBC was my preferred bank so for but now I need to rethink about it.

Thanks & Regards

HSBC — Unjustified charges after settlement

HSBC fails to send the invoices to the undersigned, still gets the payment amount in excess of 16500.00 for July 2009. The matter was reported to HSBC customer care dept verbally and the undersigned was assured that the same will not happen. HSBC fails to send invoices for Aug and the payment was not made on time however was done later after understanding between HSBC and undersigned for the miscommunication. HSBC confirmed undersigned to pay only the amount pertaining to actual expenditures ( around 23,000.00) and leave the additional charges ( around 500.00) as the statement/invoice never reached undersigned.
Later next month the invoices are recd with charges additional to previous months charges which kept accumulating as the matter was open and every time HSBC confirmed that next time the invoices show no dues.
HSBC corporate office issued undersigned a letter stating no dues in Dec 09 however the invoices still showed monthly cumulative charges and late fees. The matter was never resolved after assurances from HSBC, the amount now exceeds 6000 rupees.
Undersigned has sent several email s and made numerous calls to HSBC to resolve this issue. Also the copy of the settlement letter has been sent to HSBC officials over email
this is unacceptable as if the HSBC believed that the undersigned was to pay the charges for delays in Aug payments on account of HSBCs failure to send invoices in time then it was to be communicated clearly against HSBCs confirmation to pay due amount without charges over a phone call.

HSBC has confirmed to undersigned verbally that the letter issued could be by mistake, HSBC confirms no promise to reverse the late charges in Aug 09 and HSBC confirm no receipt of the documents ( letter of settlement) from undersigned a during discussions in Feb 2010

The undersigned never used this HSBC card after Aug 09 and still card as on date is blocked by HSBC.

My request is to help me ensure that financial institutions like HSBC do not misuse the setup and support offered to them by banking laws

Thanks and regards

If customers UNITE in India and decide to leave HSBC India in support of their fellow Indian's, who are making complaints about HSBC India then this may make HSBC Plc take action.
They talk about their Global Footprint and their Integrity. Please look at the following sites and see what the Indian people are saying about HSBC behaviour towards them.
