HSBC — Being unreasonable

1. One cheque dropped in wrong drop box. But collected at right time by HSBC. Second cheques also to avoid delay collected by Local bank. Both the cheques for same month deducted from my account. My bankers are apologetic for the error, since first cheque could not be returned. HBSC says once paid before a statement of account, whatever the reasons and actions have been money cannot be transferred to next month. Wherein I am prepared to pay the difference, if any.
2. In the month of September, 2008 a letter was sent in confirmation to deduction of my bonus points and despatch of gifts. Neither the gifts have reached nor the points deducted have been redeemed. The HSBC says forget about it. It is an old case.

It is to my surprise and shock that no HSBC card holder has commented on my letter. Does these kind of problems, raised by an ex-army officer, refuse to raise blood-pressure of any individual. It is like a road accident taking place and we stand as an onlooker. As soon Police appears and wants to find out the witnesses, we try to disassociate ourselves and go away. Why don't we raise our voice and teach these MNC a lesson. As it is I can assure you their behaviour in their own country is exemplary due to local consumer laws and volatile consumers. Wake up my fellow Indians.

Once again a senior executive Mr. Manoj was approached by me. He took the plea that since I was informed that whatever the due date may be, the cheque should come in advance. This to inform us that due date is date of clearance. Their clearing agent or my bankers if take time and the amount isnot cleared within period given by the due date late fee charges will be levied.
Fantastic rules?
Give your opinion. Force the bank to act or suffer.
They are the boss?????

Dear Sir,
The attitude of the HSBC towards the complaint has been neutral. They have not answered. The hav e neither given redressal. In protest I have deposited the balance and have torn the card. Thus I have severed all relations from the HSBC. What a bank? They exist only to get profit. No sensible service is offered by them. 'Customer is God' dictum is now known to them.
