Hi,
I hold a home loan in HSBC, have been paying some amount as EMI everymonth. Six months back, i made a prepayment of Rs.1, 00, 000 and the customer service personnel said, there will not be any change in the monthly EMI, but the number of tenure only would reduce, which is fine, i said. I was paying the same EMI to the collection executive for last 6 months, suddenly when i checked my account, was surprised to see they are deducting only half the amount of my EMI against loan payment, which means EMI has been reduced but number of months remains the same..!!! Is this the usual practice of every bank? Can someone please enlighten?? Was this information helpful? |
