[Resolved] HSBC - Personal Loan — Wrongful entry in CIBIL
I had taken a loan from HSBC in 2006 and subsequently I was offered a top up loan provided I agree to reschedule the current loan to the original tenor. On agreement I was given the new loan but the old EMI was not charged to the proper account due to a mix up by the bank itself. Though I kept them informed and was following up with the bank it put my name into CIBIL and now they say that I must pay them the complete amount. Since it is the mistake of the bank I want my name removed from CIBIL so that my credit rating is not damaged due to the mistake of a representative of the bank. I would like to know how to go about this since I find that this is unethical on the part of the bank. Was this information helpful?
