[Resolved]  Income Tax Refund Complaint — Not Receiving Refund

PAN: ADMPS2623R AY 2008-09
Refund cheque was issued by the assessing authority Faridabad (Haryana) for Rs.2180/-. which was returned to Income Tax Department /Officer Mr.Balkshi, Faridabnad for correction of residential address and Bank account number. This refers to my covering letter dated October 7, 2010 to them. Till date no fresh refund order has been received. I also queried about the refunds for the other assessment years.

Res sir/madam i have submitted my refund fille for 2010-11.but sir till date i have not reseved any chack.i have confermed many times about it in gunnaur (Badaun) post office they tell me that due to postman mistak it was refund chack return to to u.they don't give me any proof of the chack.

I have been issued with a cheque on account of my refund as per Form 10 E vide your ref. no CMPP6386628.
By the time the cheque reached my office, i was already transferred from that duty station (Air Force Bhatinda) to Air Headquarters New Delhi. Due to this reason, i have not received the cheque so far. As per the info available at tin.tin.nsdl.com, i came to know that the validity of the cheque got expired..

In view of the above, It is requested to kindly do the needful to re-issue the cheque.

The matter of refund relates to assessment year 2010-11.

My IT refund was sent to me Speedpost on 3rd Sept.2011 from Mumbai ( I suppose) to Gurgaon where I stay.

Now the IT Department, depsite having my correct residential address on my Annual IT Return, sent it to a wrong address as a result of which I did not receive the same and the envelope containing the refund cheque/draft was sent back to the sender.

Needless to say I am the sufferer for no fault of mine.

I want to know the name of the person (his designation), address and emil ID or the address of the Mumbai Office and preferably the Email ID of the concerned office, so that I can now start the painful process of following up with those concerned in the hope that I do get my refund in good time.

Please someone let me have the required/desired information.
