[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — Promise of free gift offer not honoured.

Dear Sir: Under booking id[protected] and order no. OEA[protected] plus invoice
no. ORA[protected] for Rs.2298/- I have received Reebok shoes and track suit, but the promised gift voucher for 3 days/2 nights hotel stay for Rs.5000/- was not received.
They simply advised on the invoice that to claim the gift voucher, I should log on to
www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm, which I did, but the message comes as `not exist`.
An Organization like Indiatoday book club should have transparency in their dealing.
I am a senior citizen and would like to say that this organization should be brought to book. In the meanwhile, I request you to help me by approaching this company to
immediately settle this issue, so that the reputation. if existing, should not be spoiled.
I would not still feel that it was the intention of India Today to cheat people, but the
administrative section is very poorly organized. I am now concerned with the free
gift voucher. Though I had the intention to order some other items, but they spoiled the mood of me.

India Today Book Club — free gifts not sent as promised

Please refer to your invoice No.ORA[protected] dated 21 jan 09. I have not received any free gifts. please clarify next course of action at my end?
It is very true. India times book club giving all kinds of false mails several times, that you have been selected for final sweep stake of 60khs, cars and other gifts items, so customer buys, books on line, where as free gift never comes. I bought sets of novels, with that free holidays vouchers comes, however there is no holidays destinations near to Pune or Mumbai . past 1-2 years, I bought several items, lastly swatch watch, I am not aware its genuine or not, again calls comes today to buy rebock gym kit worth Rs.2599+courier to go in final sweestake. This is not done, they bluff customers to sell their prodcuts and have tie up with othwer compnay's to sell theri products on line. you can never find with any branded compnay's like Tata/Titan/Web side, doing that. Books whioch are not sold in sotres they try to push making people fool.

India Today Book Club — Non sending of the promised FREE GIFT

I have received 20 CD Pack viz " SACRED MOMENTS" vide Invoice No. ORA[protected] dated 22/12/2008 against my Order No.OGA[protected]dated 21/12/2008 and I paid Rs2599/- plus VPP charges. The offered free gift, i.e a pair of REBOKE SHOES, is not sent by the Company till today in spite of my repeated requests/ reminders at its Phone No.[protected]. Representatives of the Company, answering my Phone Calls, have been giving false assurances and making false promises in this regard; my last call on[protected] was attended by on Ms PRIYA who informed that my complaint was registered at Complaint no. 55143 and the free gift will be sent within a months time.
The Free Gift is still awaited. My Membership No. is - ITBC08791552.

Thereafter, my e-mail was last replied by the company as under:-

Reebok — Consumer offer not honoured

I am Anil Verma and had purchase Reebok products worth Rs.3402 on 21/11/2010 under the scheme "Purchse Reebok products worth Rs.3000 and get Reebok shoes worth Rs.2999 @ Rs.750 only" from Reebok showroom SCO 489-90,SEC-35-C,Chandigarh. They took Rs.750 and at the time of delivering the shoes at payment counter, I was informed that the shoes are out of stock and will be delivered at my residence within 15 days. When I didn't recieve the shoes I called up showroom but I was again assured by the lady on Phone that the shoes will be delivered in another 7 days and even company personnel Mr.Vikas([protected]) assured. But despite reminders, I am not recieving the scheme offered and I am feeling cheated. Kindly resolve
