[Resolved] India Today Magazine — Non-Receipt of Free Gift even after 1 year | |
I have subscribed to "INDIA TODAY" for a period of 5 years through a Cheque # 859817(Syndicate Bank,S.D.Road, Secunderabad ).I was assured a free subscription gift- Adidas Outdoor Shoes within 12-14 weeks on commencement of subscription. But 52 weeks later, there has been no response,reply or intimation of any sort about the free gift. I have called up the customer care and spoken to Rosaline,Sapna, Rajender, Mohit, Abhishek Singh(executive customer care),Amitabh(executive customer care), at regular intervals.The standard reply i get everytime is "your gift will be dispatched in 2-3, 3-4 weeks time". I am waiting for more than 1 year, and there is no sign of any free gift coming. i also have not received my subscription gift yet that was assured since 6 months. I called 4-5 times in customer service but didn't get any confirmation.

Yes, I completely support this. I am 100% sure that Prevention are capable of making these kinds of frauds. I had taken a 2 yr subscription in the month of Nov 2009. There was a juicer free with the 2yr subscription plan. I tried mailing them several times. Their customer care is pathetic. The call never gets connected. The mailing facility is worse than the call facility. It's like there's a competition as to which service is more pathetic. I get lame answers each time I mail them. Everytime I get an automated response to the mail which says I will get my 'free gift' within 3-4 weeks from the day I receive their mail. It's been 1.5 yrs and i have still not received the gift. If it is dispatched, are the courier companies gulping it down or it's vanishing. Once, I get an automated response saying the above and then I get the response saying that the free gifts are over and that they are arranging one especially for me ( like hell i believe these fraudsters) and then again when I send a firing mail, they send me the same response saying its dispatched and I will be getting the gift within 3-4 weeks.
It's waste of time to go behind these people. Prevention people don't care about their customers. I even mailed the editor-in-chief and I still didn't get any reply. This shows how much they value their customers.
The wise thing to do is take the issue from the magazine stands than to subscribe if you don't want to loose your cool.

india today magazine — non receival of issues of magazine
It was on 7 june 2010 when I subscribed to this magazine india today which has quite as esteem attached to it , but what I received in return was nothing....my subscription number is ite1889425 or case ID is 2789190....in the initial period I received them on time.....but after 1-2 weeks I was not receiving the issues and so I complained...but I was told that the vendor fell ILL n was not receiving the issues coz of this....what a rubbish answer but then blindly I accepted and after that I received the issues on time for 1-2 weeks again....but then again the same problem....but now it has been three months since I have received the issue....repeated complaints on phone and emails have been in vain and I have full evidence supporting myself....59%
