Its the case in every corner of the world where Indian Embassy is. They wont reply they wont help they wont take any actions. i have been trying to contact them for my issue in Saudi Arabia. Even i wrote to President of India. They said the complaint has been transferred. No other reply from any body. I have been trying to contact to so many peoples so many ministries and all, no body doesnt take any responsibility abt this issue . I dont know why we are going for elections and making this people to rule us whom cant help us in our normal needs.

hi i m at now houston tx usa i submmited my lost passport aplication 4 month before n i put all requirement document but they donot want essuie my passport even not given any reason and last 4 month i want 37 time in consulate office n every time vest 4 ya 5 hours standing in line n no any answer just say is in process so what i do ? n my wife in hospital n nobody help there n i m so tired

In Singapore, Indian embassy has appointed few agents for visa & passport process.
Some of the agent are called BLS India, Mustafa Pte Ltd. The staffs are working here does not have any qualification. Even does not any typing skills.
In India they cannot get not even a labor Job. They are fit to works in fields and in constructions only.
People working Our Indian embassy in Singapore does not have any values. Typical Indian office.

We really need to do something. We should get a letter written and get it signed by as many people as we can find, and send it to consulate, embassy, as well as to major national news papers. We are living in an information rich age, we should not have to suffer like this. They are public servants, who get paid from tax money, and behave so arrogantly towards people. I am willing tot take the first step to get this letter started. If you are willing to support, please post comment.

I would request / encourage all NRI with Indian passport and OCI card holder to user RTI to solve your entire problem. All Indian Embassy are bound to provide you information you need. As you may know delay in any such application / services can be active by RTI.
The cost for and RTI application is Rs.10/- (i.e. equal local currency). Just and application and complains may not help. Most of the countries they accept only cash, also found some embassy also accept DD for the same.
More RTI they get there is more chances to get the system clear.

i am so sad with the DC Indian consulate and the BLS agency who works for the consulate. I have to travel in 9 days and i am still waiting for my Indian visa. Talking to the employees in the visa office is like talking to a wall. I am very upset not because of my visa delay or cancellation of my trip but for the reason that there is nobody to complain who would listen to us.

NEW YORK CITY INDIAN EMBASSY. TO PICK UP YOUR VISA THE TIME IS FROM 5-6 THEY ONLY LET ABOUT 20 PEOPLE IN AND THIS PLACE WORKS ON BRIBERY. YOU HAVE TO PAY THE SECURITY GUARD MONEY FOR THEM TO LET YOU IN. IF YOU GO IN AND WANT YOUR PASSPORT IN A TIMELY MANNER YOU HAVE TO PAY MORE MONEY. THIS EMBASSY IS SO CORRUPT. I SAW THEM ASK A MAN FOR MONEY TO TAKE THE ELEVATOR DOWN AFTER HE GOT HIS AIRPORT THE MAN REFUSED AND TOOK THE STAIRS, THEY FOLLOWED HIM DOWNSTAIRS AND STILL ASKED FOR MONEY. Do not call Indian Embassy or Consulate they get upset, send them an email that is what they want. Look up the web site for email ID.

Houston Indian Consulate sucks big time. Why are they working here? They have to go back to India and show their attitude to their family not the Indians who visit to the consulate. Ladies are the most cruel and rude ones. They are thinking they are higher officials in the world. India government should take some action about this issue. Everywhere in the world Indians are struggling without getting any help from the employees at Indian Consulate. We visited Cananda on October 2013 and someone stolen my husband's visa and passport and we got stuck over there. We went to Indian consulate for help and did not get any help from them. As per the website we started all the procedure from the scratch and stuck there for 2 weeks and finally they gave us an temporary hand written passport which is valid only for 6 months. While coming back to USA we had faced immigration issue because of temporary hand written passport. Almost 3hours it took us to get the immigration clearance. The stolen passport was issued from Houston, USA. We applied for a permanent passport at Indian consulate Houston via BLS. We didnot get any response for a month and we went to enquire about the status. They kept us waiting from 9am to 1:30pm. Their response is, we are waiting for the clearance from Cananda as you lost your passport at Cananda. We asked, how long does it take to get the clearance from Canada (High commision of India). They said, they do not know and they were asking us the contact number of High Commision of India at Canada. These people should know the contact number of other Indian consulate. They should not ask us. They were trying to reach the number what we provided to them and we got the number from the website.Nonsense!
Then the lady said, you can leave now and we will call and let you know once your passport is ready. We were waiting for another one week and took one day off from work and went to check the status again. Again waited for 3-4 hrs and the stupid reason they said is, we can not provide you 10yr passport, you have to go back to India to apply permanent passport and we have to go through police verification etc. My husband has been living in the US for the last 14years and last passport he got it from Houston only. Why should we go to India to get a new passport. Rediculous. He was quiting his job and the new company was going to do his H1B trasfer, but we were worried with this temporary passport. My husband was requesting to provide the passport and finally they agreed to give one year valid passport and they charged the amount for 10yrs passport. Nice way of making money. Waste of time and waste of money.Why noone is taking action against these employees who are working in Indian consulate? Whom should we report these issues? Consulates are suppose to help their citizen, not to change the rules. They are helpless. People are suffering a lot because of not getting such help from the Indian consulate. Now my husband got a one year valid passport:-( Sucks big time. Applied for H1B trasfer. Hope he can join his new job on time without any issue.

I have general feedback on San Francisco Consular services on the cases I have seen in front of me
1. Submitted PCC application 3.5 weeks ago and executive said in max 3 weeks we will call, Went after 3.5 weeks response was if you have not received call we can’t help wait for call. There is timeline to submit PCC application to US Immigration and consulate is not ready to listen and understand that
2. All of sudden consulate closed, reason which everyone got is PM is coming and whole staff is going there. Why there was no update on website before they actually closed it. There were peoples who had appointment scheduled and came from 200 miles. There should be mail to person who had appointments scheduled as PM visit was planned long time ago. Indian staff just came out from door and said “bol diya koi kaam nahi hoga monday se pehle. India ka administration itna acha hota to hum US kyu aate. Ab jab tak PM nahi jate sirf death certificate issue karage or kuch nahi”
3. There was US Citizen flew from Alaska to SF and waiting for Indian Visa. Already had tickets booked for India for next day. Cox and Kings sent to Consulate for some stamping and no one listened to her, same indian staff just ignored her said madam you need death certificate if not go and come back on monday. Same question why they have not updated that embassy will be close and reason in advance. Same day when people reached to consulate they are telling to go back
4. People came for attestation and staff asking to go to secramento or Los Angeles, If peoples have to fly to LA then why there is consulate open in San Francisco and same question when 3 people asked they just ignored that this is process please go from here we can’t help
