[Resolved]  Indian Passport — Regarding non-receipt of Passport (file Ref Number :GUW-A[protected]

Dear Sir,

With due respect, i would like to inform you that my father MAHAMMAD ISHAHAK ALI has applied for passport at Regional Passport office,Guwahati on[protected].But, when i communicated with Regional Passport Officer Shri T. Armstrong Changsan, IFS,regarding the status of the passport (as police verification was already been completed in the month of September/2010 from local police station, Kamarbandha, Asam), he clarified me that Police report is still not received by his office and as soon as they will get the police report, the passport can be delivered to the applicant. And at the same time he mailed me (e-mail copy is still with me) to contact Additional Director General of Police, SB Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati - 781019, Tel[protected]; fax[protected], to check the details. So, i sent a fax and letter to ADGP, Kahilipara during mid of April/2011 regarding my query and after few days on 30th April/2011, DSP from Golaghat district called my father and verified all documents and told that your details has been verified and report has been sent to ADGP office Kahilipara and given us a Memo No - GLT/DSB/PP/47/11/349, dated 05-05-11.

But, still in the Passport status of Application is showing that Police report has not been received. So, really my old father is not getting what to do. Only for his right as a citizen of India,he is roaming here and there after following all the legal processes. After application on 7/9/2010, is it required this long time to deliver his passport? Kindly take an initiative so that all Indian citizen can get there Passport at right time as an Indian citizen. As my father is a retired Govt of Assam employee and if he is getting this type of problem, can we imagine what would be the case of simple citizen living in this country? Kindly take an legal initiative in this regard with a positive discussion with the higher authority of Police officers in Assam please.
