[Resolved]  Indian Postal Service - Bangalore — Reg Visa Approval letter delivery

Dear Sir,

I had applied for UK Visa on March 2008 and they had taken a decision on July 25th and dispatched my Original Certificates with the Visa Approval Letter on July 31st, 2008 from UK Home office.

But it is now more than 2 months. I dont have any news regarding my letter, It is very important for me because all my original Certificates ( 10th, 12th, Degree marksheet/degree certificate, TAX returns original, orginal driving license and Visa Approval letter).

If I loose this letter, then I can say almost my life is lost. Since getting those certificate duplicate copy from university and respective authorities is not easy, as you guys well aware of India way of working.

I had enquired in Bangalore GPO, they asked me to contact the Local Post office. I approched the local post office, they replied that they havent recieved it. They also added it usally take 20 to 30 days to deliver a letter from outside india but it is strange that you havent received it yet.

Can any help me please, whom I should contact to track my letter.
Since Home office talks about the SLA time of 13 weeks but the person who applied with me and dispatched on the same date i.e., july 31st received his letter in 7 days.

Need assistance.

Regards

I can not agree more with the callous attitide of the post offices here.

My daughter's PAN card (coupon no.[protected] was despatched from Mumbai on 22/12.08 under certificate of posting (UCP No.PO[protected].

I had been constantly enquiring with the HSR BDA Complex PO and the lady officer in charge kept on assuring that no such mail came from the PAN department. Finally, yesterday the PAN service office at Ulsoor, Bangalore prvided an updated print out of the status of that PAN card which was not even returned to the sender as there was no such record. I would imagine it was lost under the heap o[censored]ndelivered letters or just thrown on the road.

Such is the inefficiency and slack tracking system at the post offices in this modern IT capital of the country! With the tax submission date close at heel who is going to take the responsibility of providing the PAN card? The whole system needs to be changed and certainly the woman-in charge of that PO.
But then does the Management in this department willing to listen and take action, most importantly, is the management capable of any action?
